Butler Heating & Air Conditioning

We have always had good experiences with Butler. We had a new AC unit installed in the spring of 2021 and we have used them ever since for all our furnace and AC maintenance and repair needs. Everyone that comes is out is always friendly, professional and informative

I used the Butler team to replace my existing Trane heat pump & A/C (all electric), as well my water heater. I replaced my existing single-stage heat pump system with a 5-stage system, and the new system is practically silent compared to my previous setup. The team easily removed my old system and installed the new equipment in its place. I love the new thermostat which gives me detailed status on the operating status; it even tells me how many stages are active.

The water heater install was going to be the bigger challenge as I was upgrading from an electric 40-gallon system to a gas-powered tankless unit. My house did not have gas service, and the Butler reps helped guide me through the process with the local gas company to get a free install. Butler's team ran the new gas piping in my crawlspace, and worked with me to design the exhaust pipes from the gas heater to the outside.

I greatly appreciated Greg's friendliness and ability to help us through this complicated install. He took my calls at odd hours at night and on the weekends. The team of technicians was very knowledgeable both about the equipment as well as the varying municipal codes needed to get the install through the inspection. I would highly recommend giving Butler a call if you are looking for help with a new furnace, A/C, or water heater.

The photo shows the newly installed Carrier 5-stage unit next to the removed Trane single-stage system. The Carrier system is noticeably smaller and much quieter - my neighbor asked me when I was going to start using the new A/C, and I responded "it's been running for the past week."

Jason and Tyler were incredibly kind when they came to fix my furnace. There was an issue with the control board, and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem incredibly quickly. They were both on time and efficient. Would absolutely recommend!

I would highly recommend Butler Heating and Cooling. I have used Butler for general HVAC maintenance but the most recent visit Butler installed an air vent return. The employees that I have met during this project have been professional and knowledgeable. The employee that installed the vent was very particular about cleanliness and details, was knowledgeable on how to complete the task and had excellent work ethics.

Earlier in 2023, I used Butler Heating & Air Conditioning again. I had to replace my Hot Water Heater. The water heater was in a tight area next to the furnace which meant they had to take the furnace apart to get to the water heater. They handled the job in a professional and timely manner. The water heater they recommended had a good quality rating, so that is the one I choose for them to install for me. I am currently very pleased with the product.

I have used Butler Heating & Air Conditioning over the years. I have found them to be reliable and professional. They installed my air conditioner when it broke down. I chose them because they had installed the previous air conditioning system and it lasted many years, so I continued to use Butler for the new air conditioning unit when I needed it.

Excellent service. Butler has been there for a total house remodel and we couldn’t be happier with the service received. From keeping our ancient system going at the early part of the remodel, to completely replacing the entire system at the end, Butler has been on time, efficient and worth every penny. We really enjoyed the entire staff and will continue to work with them in the future.

Not sure if I caught them on a bad day - but they couldn't fix my furnace and charged more than quoted for the service call - $94 turned into $165 for them to tell me they couldn't fix it. That seems to be a common thread in the comments below. Of 3 other people I had inspect and quote -- they were 85% more on the service call than others. Unfortunately - they couldn't quote me for a new furnace at that time, so I had to do another appointment -- then they didn't show up to quote a new furnace and I wasted 4 hours of my day waiting on them sitting in my car despite a dozen calls to the office. Finally got an email quote to replace furnace -- they were 45% more than 3 other quotes I received. I have 6 furnaces to replace -- I will not be using Butler. (updated this post to show exact percentages)

I have used Butler in the past and they were great. the technician came out this time to check our furnace before winter. He told me our heat exchange was cracked. Told me our CO level at 30's was dangerous and we needed to shut down our furnace. then started talking to me about replacing our furnace. The next day our warranty tech came out, confirmed that our exchange was not cracked. Told use the CO at 30 PPM is not dangerous and we didnt need to replace our furnace. I really feel the tech with Butler came in saw an old furnace and wanted to convince me to buy a new furnance.

We started using Butler heating and air for our commercial properties from a recommendation from a colleague and have been very very pleased with their services.
Can’t thank them enough for their timely response for our tenants, their quality, pricing and reliability are unmatched!
