Just wanted to give a big shout out to Jerry and crew for their help with a very big sewer line repair at one of my rental homes. He was extremely informative, patient and genuine. He took the time to answer all of our questions (we had many!) and reassured us that, despite us doing this long distance, that all would be taken care of. So far, so good! No issues to report and we can't thank them enough. I hope to never have to call them, BUT, If we do have to, we know we will be in good hands :) thanks again!
Evan was amazing!!!! My AC would not work, so I took a chance and called My Guys. The woman I talked to that set up the appointment was very nice and pleasant! Evan was very professional and got the job done very quickly. Will definitely use this company again!!!
My guys charged my 99 year old father $600 to install a bathroom sink faucet! My Dad purchased a simple, stationary faucet to replace a leaking one in his powder room, but needed help with the installation. The plumbers gave him no estimate before doing the job, but handed him this ridiculous bill as they left. Literally, all they had to do was drop the faucet and re-connect the water. Dad called the office the next day to discuss the bill, which he had already paid at the time of service. The so called " business manager" curtly told him that they charge the "national average" for the jobs. So Dad paid the same amount that a California resident would pay, even though he is in the Cleveland area?! Completely absurd. Asked if he could have a Senior discount, or Veteran's discount ( he is a WWII vet) he was told "No". According to said business manager, this is all in accordance with their "new business policies". My family has hired My Guys multiple times in the past, before these new policies were in place. They were pricey then, but always gave my elderly parents a discount. Now their prices are WAY out of line and they offer zero breaks. Do NOT hire My Guys, under any circumstances! I strongly discourage anyone elderly or on Social Security to even contact them. If I could give less than one star, I would.
Update 3/17/2023 Spoke with the owner, Jerry, on 3/15 to follow up on his promise to correct the situation for my Dad. He stated that he would email a copy of the invoice to be reviewed. He has not done that, using the excuse that he had a knee replacement a week ago, and is only working three hours a week. I will give him until Tuesday to respond, then will be updating here until the issue is resolved. Also will be filing a claim with BBB.
Update 4/3/2023 It has been over a month since my initial contact with this company regarding their unconscionable treatment of my father. I have received zero phone calls or emails, and absolutely no attempt has been made to rectify this matter, despite their 2x public promise to do so, (see one below. The first one was deleted by the business). If the owner is physically unable to take care of this matter months after knee surgery, then I suggest he find someone who is capable of picking up a phone or using a computer. In the meantime, we may need to resort to small claims court.
Update 5/7/2023 Still awaiting this problem to be rectified. We have received zero contact from this company, despite repeated promises to make this right. My Guys Plumbing CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!
I would like to extend a gratitude of thanks to Jerry and his staff (Andy) in particular. I have an older heating system and they were able to diagnose and repair it without hassle. They answered, asked, and answered all questions while taking the guess work out of the solution. They were VERY professional and courteous. They were also able to work with a smaller budget all the while treating me (a new customer) as a well established customer. I will DEFINITELY refer and keep them on speed dial for all my household maintenance. Thank you!
EXTREME OVER-CHARGES for a simple plumbing job. NO SENIOR OR MILITARY DISCOUNT for my 99 year-old WWII Veteran father. DID NOT GIVE A PRE-ESTIMATE for the work (we would have definitely gone elsewhere), and NO ITEMIZED RECEIPT FOR WORK. Promises to rectify billing issues and complaints were made, but never followed through on. Lots of excuses with no resolution. Terrible company, questionable service and and awful management! They also remove unfavorable reviews from their website. We have been trying to get a resolution since to this matter since 3/15/2023 for services performed in February.
My guy's plumbing is a joke. They charged me 420 bucks to fix a toilet valve. What a scam. I like how you said you were at my house for 2 hours...Hey pal, I have 6 cameras on my house. You were here less then 30mins. I've the proof and charged me $420.25 one toilet valve & New plunger inside the tank..Maybe 30 bucks in parts..$$420.25 parts and less then 30mins of work. "SCAM SCAM"
We’ve been super happy with My Guys! We used them when we had to replace our furnace a few years ago, and are returning to install central air in our house (my next door neighbor recommended them since we were new to the area!). Jerry is really knowledgeable and doesn’t try to upsell you on things you don’t need. His crew was really professional and polite too. Would definitely recommend!
Water heater pressure relief valve broke open because of poor installation from another company that was assigned by home warranty company. The water heater is only 14 months old. After 8 phone calls to the home warranty company, I finally got authorization to find my own vendor. It was going on 24 hours without hot water. I called 4 plumbing companies before I remembered about My Guys. They were kind and empathetic when I was on the verge of panic. They said they would call me back and see if they could get the work done. Not only did they call back when they said they would, but they actually came about 2 hours earlier than they originally thought they would be able. I was overjoyed! The price was a good value and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
The whole experience with My Guys, from scheduling to follow up, was a very positive one. The office was prompt, friendly, and responsive. The technician was so knowledgable and was not satisfied (and stayed the extra time) until the job was done correctly. Their prices were very reasonable, especially considering we had shopped around quite a bit, and we would definitely use them again!
