Piedmont Sheet Metal

After a bad repair experience in 1993 with another company, Piedmont Sheet Metal fixed the problem.
In 1998, they installed a new Lennox gas furnace system and Lennox heat

pump for upstairs. Gas prices increased, so I had them install a Lennox high efficiency heat pump, tied into the gas system for back up instead of electric emergency heat. It lowered heat bills a lot, is a very comfortable system with only 1 repair since 2005. They removed my A/C unit after the new heat pump installation, took it to Concord and installed it in my daughter's mobile home at a very reasonable cost which is still working. Bill Cook and his employees are respectable professionals that I am very comfortable having in my home, and their work is superior. They are honest and dependable, and the only HVAC company for me! I have recommended them to many friends, who are also pleased.
UPDATE: I considered having new humidifier installed, Piedmont came out very promptly, we discussed it, and for the cost (about $650) and the usage time only being around 3 months, Todd was honest enough he told me using the vaporizor I've been using would be more cost effective. Piedmont Sheet Metal has been a family operated business that surpasses the tactics of other companies that are corporate owned. I trust them as the great company they are.

Outstanding in every regard!! I contacted PSM after receiving a quote from another vendor. The response was quick and both technicians (Barry and Keith) were able to diagnose the problem, secure needed parts and make repairs with needed new equipment. Where the other vendor indicated an entirely new system was needed, these fellows and their office counterparts were able to make repairs quickly. My system is up and running in just a few hours. Outstanding service and outstanding people from a service-minded company aimed at meeting the needs of its' customers. Great job PSM!

My family has used this company for years so I called for them to check the upstairs system that was not cooling in our new home. Tech that came was very nice. He recommended 2 couplings be replaced in the drain pipes to help make clean-out easier, (they were not clogged). I agreed to allow him to do that, he visually inspected both systems and said downstairs looked good and he didn't need to do anything so that should save me some money. He did the same upstairs and then hooked up the gauges and told me the upstairs system was low on refrigerant but until they recharge it he couldn't tell me why and the recharge would cost probably $250 plus today's service call. I couldn't afford that at the time so I said I would have to wait. No problem he said and so he called in to close my ticket. He proceeded to give me a bill for $191 to visually inspect my system, hook up the gauges and install 2 couplings that took 10 mins. He was at my home for not much more than an hour. I do not feel that the charge reflected the work that was done. I expected $100-$125 but at $191 that is expensive. No filters, no freon, just 2 couplings and maybe 1and a half hours of their time. Beware.....

After leaving a message stating my heat pump was out and I was looking to get a quote on replacement, it took 2 days to get a call back. He scheduled to come out that same day to give the quote, only to not bother showing up. No phone call. No explanation. Just didn't show. Thanks, Mike, for the interest in my business. Very poor in my opinion and would not recommend.

My AC went out on Sunday and I sent in a repair request for “hopefully Monday” on the website. Diane, the scheduler called me @ 7:05 Am and Larry was there at 8 AM and was up and running in less than an hour. He was courteous, professional and helpful. I will call Piedmont Sheet Metal again.

Had a new roof put on our house and unfortunately... a nail hit our gas line to the furnace. The gas line was behind a wall and next to impossible to fix. I had a few other highly rated HVAC places come up and look at the problem, there quotes were in the $800-900 range to redo the gas lines.

The two service tech's that Piedmont sent out were Kevin and Timmy. Both were extremely hard working and quick to diagnose the problem -In this case.. cut a small hole in a wall in the attic (with all the beams, the hole had to be very small) climb thru the hole and fix the pipe. They were able to get all this done. The cost compared to the other companies was fantastic... Only $170... Will be using Piedmont sheet metal again.

I have been slightly disappointed in the customer service received with my recent experience. I've been a customer of Piedmont sheet metal for about 5 years. The person at the office was so highly demanding of the money being paid on site and less concerned about customer service and her attitude. When the guys arrived they went to the back of the house without letting my wife know they were there and weren't too kind with her while receiving payment so I'm not sure what's going on with PSM. Guess we'll move on...

They were very nice and more affordable than most places!!

Technician (Larry) arrived promptly on time,worked quickly and efficiently and could not have been nicer.Piedmont Sheet Metal is my new heating and air conditioning company after 20 years with another local firm.

We have had ours for 30 some years and still going strong. Thanks to Bill for the best recommendations. I love our gas heat.
