Service Technician from Ted’s arrived on time.

Communication with the office and notification about provider’s arrival were spot on.

I was able to efficiently plan my day around the services call.

Service tech and office representatives were helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with.

Tech completed inspection with a focus on professionalism and protection for my home. He communicated clearly with me about all items noted in need of attention as well as discussed what I could expect if I did not address each item today. He clearly communicated pricing for each concern item noted and discounts based on my annual service plan.

My concern is that our system is 4-5 years old. Today’s maintenance inspection revealed that the two capacitors are functioning at 80% (tech can replace for $318) and a contactor is showing evidence of arching (Tech can replace for $244). We also discussed how much water/ condensation comes off of the unit when the AC runs and the frequency with which we need to empty the condensation pan. The tech suggested adding a float device to turn the system off when the pan gets full to minimize overflow. Through our conversations I opted against making any of these repairs today.

Before leaving, the tech mentioned that the unit’s breaker, in the box outside, broke when he flipped it back on and that the HVAC system would not run properly unless he replaced this breaker (price to after discount $144). I paid this and he made the repair.

My concerns are the:
1. pricing for each item found do not match the customary pricing guidance found for our area online
2. Number of items in need of repair (the system is less than 5 years old and has been maintained by this company for almost a year)
3. if something is working but breaks while the tech is performing maintenance…where does repair responsibility fall?

Overall, I am pleased and thankful for the clear communication, easy scheduling, and professionalism. I am uneasy with higher pricing, number of needs for my system, and the part that was working but broke during the inspection.

The technician Richard was excellent, well qualified and diagnosed the problem quickly. Repair was made and confirmed to be working properly. With 20 degree nights having a reliable heating system is important and Richard had concern for our comfort.

As a business owner that makes service a priority, I have been very impressed with my experiences with Ted's. Their technicians have been very knowledgeable, explained their findings very professionally, and waited for authorization before completing repairs. Highly recommend.

We had Josh out this week to check on a possible leak. He texted to say he was on his way, and was friendly and professional. He found the issue, explained it to me along with the cost, and got to work. Ted’s always come through and their employees are great!

Needed a capacitor replaced and Antonio did a fantastic job. He was courteous and professional and had me up and running again in no time.
