Technician was very knowledgeable and professional. Diagnosed the problem in a timely manner and explained the situation clearly.

I am concerned for a quick follow thru on getting a mother board to complete the repair. We’ve been w/o AC for a week… and need a call this morning to confirm a plan of action.

They worked with my home warranty and got my AC unit replaced. The service guy was nice and offered window units until the AC replacement was installed. The customer service was outstanding and the lady I talked to in the office was very nice and helpful!

The guys were diligent and friendly. They worked HARD to make sure we had heat during the cold winter days. Working until 9pm after an already full day. Good communication and they knew what they were doing. We are now lifelong fans of Evans. Hoping the new unit serves us for years t come. Thanks to the guys and all the staff for a job well done.

BEWARE HOME WARRANTY USERS

After having several air handlers come to my house to give me quotes on a leaky evaporator coil, I decided to give my home warranty a call. They directed me to Evans Air. Archie from Evans Air came to the house and confirmed that the evaporator coil was leaking and needed replacing. My home warranty company contacted me and told me I was going to owe close to $1200! I was quoted $1500 by others without warranty help. I had the warranty company send me an itemized list of what Evans wanted to charge that was not covered. I spent an unnecessary amount of time digging into what these were and only a couple of them actually had anything to the with the job they were sent to quote. Some of the charges specifically dealt with attaching the replacement part to the existing unit which should be covered by the warranty company but were billed as "modifications". A number of other charges involved bringing other parts of the unit to code, which is a complete lie. I was informed by several HVAC contractors that those specific charges were unnecessary for my system and not needed in order to preform a job. Another charge was for a piece of equipment that I already have on my system that works properly. I understand that warranty work isn't as profitable as a normal service call, but quoting someone $1200 after warranty for a job that was quoted for as little as $1500 is ridiculous, and insulting. I took the cash out, taking my business elsewhere.

Giving two stars because the receptionist was pleasant and called me back promptly.

Archie was prompt, professional, and thorough. We were very happy with the service from him and Evans Air.

If I could give no stars I would. We paid $100 for one of Evans technicians to come to our house and check out are heating and ac unit, which we knew wasn’t working properly. The technician told me he had some leaks that needed repaired, etc. Never once mentioned needing a whole replacement. I was later told to be cautious of a repair vs. a replacement because of the age of our system, but my husband and I decided to go with the repair anyway. So, Evans ordered all the parts we needed and a different technician came out to fix it. In between this time was about 2 weeks in which every time I called for an update on whether our parts were in and when we can get on the schedule I was told “I’ll call you back.” NEVER got a call back. I called six times in 24 hours with the same response. Meanwhile it’s 86 degrees in my house and Evans is completely blowing me off. Anyway, we FINALLY get the technician out to repair our system and he tells us Evans ordered the wrong coil that we needed!!!! So he couldn’t finish the job that day. We were then told they’re ordering the correct coil. Two days go by, and now we’re told that repairing is no longer an option, we have to replace the whole system. WAIT, WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?! You screwed up by ordering the wrong coil and now you’re too lazy to order the right one so you tell us we have to spend about $6,000 more to get a whole replacement?! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. So now I don’t trust anything they say. After weeks of getting nothing done with our unit we decided we’re firing Evans and using another contractor. I would never never never recommend that anyone use this company. Awful customer service and awful communication.

My warranty scheduled HVAC tune up with Evans Air. Technician got there before the scheduled time window and he was very nice and explained what he was doing at the tune up and the outcome of it.

This is the most horrible service I have ever experienced. My husband and I have been without air conditioning for 3 months. I have a warranty and the owner basically told me that I would just have to wait that I was not a priority for the fact that I had a warranty. She ignored phone calls from me and my husband, we left message that were not returned. I think the best thing about this company is the tech who was polite and could not believe that our home still had no AC. 3 months! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced. Good luck if your working with a warranty you will not be helped in a timely manner.
