I was contracted 5 star after our first company couldn't diagnose the issue. 5 star was assigned to us in Sept 22, and said they needed to order a condenser, which arrived in November 22. I was ok with that, it was cooler and not needed. Well fast forward to almost Feb and I have called over 8 times in the past three weeks, including twice by my home warranty only to be told by the warranty company they will no longer offer to replace my condenser, and now have to start this process all over again. Extremely upset with their professionalism, responding to multiple calls, messages, voicemails and more. Will never use them again
I used this service at recommendation of Realtor. They inspected a fireplace and determined it was not within code. I inspected and found it completely compliant and showed them the manufacturer information that I looked up. They were recommending installation of a whole new system and knew we were time sensative to close on house. Absolute manipulation and lies to upsell a product... DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!

If you ever had a tech out to your house and stated that you need multiple items replaced or repaired and then look at the inspection sheet and it says something totally different? Then this is why you would want 5 Star Mechanical to service your equipment. My AC systems has been serviced by this company and they have always found the most affordable option for repairs. The company's employees are Top Notched and very attentive to the customers concerns. So when I was able to afford to replace both of my outdoor AC units I didn't hesitate to go with 5 Star. The owner came to my house and provided several options and made a recommendation. The warranty alone was worth going with these items.

My home warranty company selected this company to service my broken A/C unit. Ken and Bobby did a great job diagnosing the problem, ordering the specific compressor needed for my A/C unit, and repairing the unit quickly. They kept me informed of the process the entire time.
Soon after they finished the repair, my A/C stopped working again. Ken came out to fix the new problem (capacitor) quickly and even texted me the next day to make sure my A/C was still in working order.
Overall, they are a very good crew and I've been pleased with the level of courtesy and competence.

This company was sent out on a home warranty call. The first bad sign was when the tech, Ken, didn't put on booties when entering my carpeted home. During his inspection of the interior unit he did not demonstrate knowledge of modern systems. For example, he pointed at the fresh air intake vent and asked me what it was. Another example: he recommended a one inch air filter over a five inch filter. He said the reason for my issue was low air flow, but in his report did not communicate a solution to the low air flow problem which resulted in the warranty company doing nothing for me. The photos he took were extremely low quality and poorly lit and did not clearly demonstrate the problems.
The tech claimed that the original installation (2012) was bad but refused to communicate that to the warranty company. In his report, he did not clearly verify the issue I was reporting so the warranty company did not want to resolve the issue. I communicated with the tech and pleaded with him to clarify his report, but he refused. I conclude that his relationship with the warranty company was more important than his relationship with me.
His recommendation to resolve a biological growth problem due to excess moisture within the air handler unit was to buy a new panel and install an $800 UV light system. I had another HVAC company come out (a truly 5 star company) and they cleared up the growth with microban and they diagnosed the issue that my unit was missing a certain part to collect and divert excess condensation to the condensation line.
Definitely steer clear of this company. And if your home warranty company tries to send them to you, then I am sorry for your loss.
As a landlord and real estate investor it's great to find a dependable contractor.
5 Star Mechanical was despatched as HVAC repair from my home warranty company. They were professional, very responsive and understanding of my needs. They were able to work with the warranty company to get the parts expedited needed to repair my furnace the next day.
I'll use 5 Star Mechanical again for service and repair of my personal and investment properties.
5 Star Mechanical HVAC was the only company able to solve my problem and go beyond my expectations. My wife and I are thoroughly greatfull to them after months of needing help!
If I could give no stars I would. Submitted online paperwork to the home warranty company late, which delayed ordering the parts. One the part came in, they scheduled an appt and didn't show. Finally sent a text later that day saying they were in urgent Care and to contact our home warranty company. Ghosted us completely and never answered phone for days. Do not use this company. If you see this company from your home warranty, call and get a different one. Trust me. We haven't had working air for 3 weeks now and there is still no end in sight.
I don't recommend this service. Our warranty company sent them to us. The owner usually doesn't come himself and send young guy instead. (there is no complains about the guy, he is nice and polite, doing his job). Review is addressed to the owner and his bussiness.
It took a long time for them to find the issue. When they finally found the issue, of course this brocken part does not covered by warranty, so we had to pay for the part and work (which is fine). we have a newborn in the house and we needed AC to be fixed ASAP, as it's very hot in summer and impossible to sleep without AC. They said this part is always in stock so they will replace it very quicly 1-2 days he said (that was a lie). In reality It took forever before they came back to get it fix. they charged us few times more for the part, than it should be and they promised to give us a receipt (another lie). Already more than 2 weeks we have waiting for a receipt. (We remind them often, but they just ignore our messages)
we already paid you, JUST GIVE US A RECEIPT! we need it for accounting.
