Northern Tool + Equipment

I went to the store for a 27 lb. Bag of oil-dri which by the was $ 6.00 . I am not a visitor of this store much so I didn't know my way around. I went to the cashier up front to see if I could get the oil-dri brought up front. Lisa Dee Bar bora was her name , she said sure we can do that. She called on a walkie to a representative who brought the bag upfront on a cart. The rep waited untill I paid for the purchase and led me outside with the cart. She said which car. I told her the car I was in and she put the bag of oil-dri in the back. Very considerate people as I am 67 years old . I give them an A+ .

Customer service at checkout was pitiful. The cashier told us that if I didn't give her our phone number to type in the cash register before we left the store, if we wanted to bring any item back we couldn't...couldn't...for any reason. WOW! And no, we still didn't give up the phone number, which BTW is a marketing scam just like Tractor Supply and zip codes...And yes, if at a point past paying, I needed to return an item...i could, maybe just maybe that's when I would need to give up a phone number....

Visited on 4/5/21 very helpful and friendly staff. The manager even came over to help because the other employees were helping other people. Brenda/Lisa helped me after she finished helping the other customer.

Staff was nice although two main items I was looking for on sale where in backorder status. I just ordered one of them online hopefully I do get what I ordered in a timely manner . ??? TBD

The clerk was very friendly and helpful. The item I needed was in stock and I was helped very quickly. Good experience.

I manage a wood mill in newton and always find what I need at northern. Whether safety gear or tools just can't beat the prices. De de and William are always polite and professional, they know their products well.
