Mike was the only one of three or four AC companies we had quoting our project who took the time to really solution the problems we were experiencing. Instead of offering us a brand new system with all the costs that go with it, he developed an alternative solution that improved our air quality, controlled dust on the house better, and provided easier regular maintenance on our unit with replacing filters (which way impossible before!).

Not only was the solution a better fit for our problems and budget, we were thoroughly impressed with how tight and tidy the work and cleanup were. Everything was done well and to my husband's pretty high standards. He's a very handy guy himself and no stranger to all kinds of around-the-house jobs, so if he says it's neatly finished and well done, it is! We're very happy with the result and the product.

Mike's team was friendly and professional even if my crawlspace is one of tightest they've ever been in and they're glad to be done with it. 🤪 Even when we encountered a rare problem with the old plenum, Mike and team were going the extra mile to get the right fix installed. Mike handled the project personally, making sure we were happy and comfortable with every major step of the project and confirming our choices with us. He made sure to follow-up the next day on the new unit's performance. All told, we're very happy with the entire project.

My heat went out in my home and I could not get any other company to come out within the week to take a look at it. When Mike found out that I had two small children in the home he personally came out the same day to check it out for me very thoroughly. He was extremely reasonable and very honest about what the problem was and what it was going to take to repair it. I asked many questions; Mike answered them in a very informative and patient way. I am so very glad that I chose Unique Heating and Air, Mike is a very genuine man who made sure that my children and I had heat with the cold weather moving in.

I met Mike the owner of Unique heating and air a few years ago, being in the construction/service industry myself and decided to give him a call after my mother informed me that her heating and cooling system was not working. She had already called several companies and got pricing to replace the unit since it was 17 years old and a repair may have been an expensive and short term fix. I thought the quotes seemed extremely high for a 3 ton unit and had Mike give me a quote. He ended up saving her several thousand dollars and she could not be happier with the one day

I wanted to replace my old, failing heat pump system with a complete new installation and got estimates from multiple local companies. The estimates I got were pretty close to each other (which is a good thing), but Unique had better reviews, and I felt their estimation process was more professional and better explained.

When the work was done, the techs were punctual, polite, and professional: I worked in electronics installation for many years and I can tell when someone takes pride in their work. Mike was very knowledgeable and didn't mind me hanging around asking questions; I learned a lot about how heat pumps work and how to use my new one. My wife told me she appreciated how neat and tidy their work was, and how well they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Unique.

My sister and I original called them out for an estimate for a new unit. Mike the owner was very professional and knowledgeable about what would work best for our house. He pointed out that the unit we already had was to big for our house size. We told him that the person that put that one in had already came out and gave us an estimate for a new one, told us we still needed that size. I did some googling and Mike with Unique was right about that. He was also able to offer us a financing plan that worked with our budget.
He originally told us he wouldn't be able to get the unit installed until the following week because of busy schedule. And he offered to bring us space heaters for us to use until then. Surprisingly he called us the next day and said he was able to work us in sooner and that he could come that afternoon and get the old unit removed so they could come the next day to install the new one. By the time they got done that day they not only had the old unit been removed, but they had the new one set up so that they only had to come back the next morning to hook up the gas pack, wiring and new thermostat. By noon the next day they had our unit up and running. After they finished installing everything they had us look over everything to make sure it met our satisfaction. Since we where worried about using a new thermostat they gladly showed us how to work it. Mike even took the time to call twice after leaving that day to make sure everything was still working good and to see how the temperature in the house was. We are very pleased with their work and professionalism and will definitely be using them again. We had Mike sign us up to be maintenanced twice a year in the spring and fall. These guys are awesome!!

Great, professional people. Everyone I spoke with was very professional and easy to deal with. Very knowledgeable of every aspect of what I needed to learn. He taught me how to Calculate the correct airfilters, Correct Name of the parts, Educated me on why I need the number amount of vents and duct work. I Reccomend you hire him to reinspect your house before you close on your house.

I don’t even know where to start.

First off I was extremely worried after getting two different diagnoses from other local HVAC companies.

Both of the diagnosis’s were bad news, but completely different.

Even though both made sense, I was in a pickle and was starting to get very stressed out by the situation, especially with the cold weather.

A woman overheard me talking on my phone at the grocery store, and how frustrated I was and walked up to me. The first thing she said was “ honey I hear your frustration. You need to call my guy.”

She told me that you need Unique heating and air conditioning handles all her grandkids, kids, and her personal house.

She said that they would be very honest with me in the diagnosis, and if it could be fixed it would.

As soon as I got out in the parking lot, I looked them up online and booked an appointment immediately.

The very next morning, a very nice gentleman showed up.

I showed him the attic stairs, and where the units were, and he spent about 20 minutes looking at everything.

Before I could finish my coffee (and I needed it, lol) the gentleman told me that I had a few electric boards that we’re not responding to turn the system on.

I honestly I didn’t even know what that meant. I assumed I needed a new system at this point in time and 100% figured that was the final confirmation I needed just to realize I had no choice!

I asked the question “how much for a new system”

The gentleman looked at me and said “ ma’am, you don’t need a new system, you need some replacement parts and a good cleaning, I’ll have you back up and running in less than two hours”

I did not know whether to faint or give him a hug.

I kinda did a little bit of both.

Needless to say, everything else that I was told by two other “supposed professional companies” was obviously either completely fictional or they had no idea what they were doing.

Either one is an unacceptable to me.

The bill was slightly less than $600. This included parts, emergency response, a general servicing of the system and reconnecting some type of drain line that sat underneath the furnace that was disconnected or knocked loose.

I had heat before the gentleman left, and it is been working better than I can remember it in many years.

Mike, your companies honesty not only saved me a significant amount of money that I did not have, but I was hours away from signing the paperwork to replace the entire system obviously completely unnecessary based on being fortunate to have you cross my path.

Huge life lesson here, and I have a massive amount of gratitude because of your honesty and grace.

I was very pleased with the service Unique provided. Mike explained all that they were doing to replace my old unit. They came and did all the work in one day. I was very pleased with the level of professionalism displayed. I would recommend Unique to anyone needing there services.

Mike and his crew did a great job on the install of a complete system for us. They were quick, clean, and professional. Mike was flexible on scheduling when something came up on our original start date, and arrived on time and worked late to get the job done that day. When they left, the only way I knew they had been there was I had a new system. Professionals.

My technician was Brad. He was amazing! Told me issues that a previous heating/air place did to my unit and told me what I really needed instead. He went above and beyond trying to get me worked in as fast as possible so I can have heat ASAP. I trust him and I am looking forward to having him come out and keep my unit running smooth!
