2nd story unit stopped working and wasn’t putting out any air at all.
Woody scheduled a meeting within 48 hours and was on time, polite, and a breeze to work with ... once inside our home, he put his shoe protectors on which is a huge bonus for me and went to work right away. In less than 45 mins we had cold air again! Rates are reasonable and Woody is reliable. This is the second time we’ve used him and we won’t consider any other HVAC companies - he’s our guy and you’ll be lucky to grab him as your guy too!

My five year and 5 day old Carrier heating system broke down last month and Woody Stokes came out to assess the issue. I didn’t trust YD who has been servicing our system since we moved in to do the work. Woody identified the problem immediately (over 50% of our Freon leaked out from the rusted copper evaporator coils the builder installed). Carrier and YD were zero help and offered nothing but a huge bill and a 3 month warrantee on new parts. Woody replaced our unit with a new aluminum coils system, checked for any other potential leaks and had it installed in 3 hours. Thank you Woody for your expertise and professionalism.

When I had my scheduled maintenance performed by someone other than South Wake HVAC, the mechanic told me that my unit would need to be replaced and sent a salesman to my house. Basically, this salesman told me that I had several other things wrong and that it would take over $11,000.00 to correct my issues. I decided I needed a second opinion. Searched the web and found excellent reviews on South Wake HVAC and contacted Woody who responded to my text within a few hours. He came out the same day, checked everything and explained that I did not have the issues that the first company told me and that he could replace my unit for less than half the price of the first company. Not only was I relieved but also tremendously impressed! Woody is a man of his word, is easy to reach and performs excellent work for a fair price. I would highly recommend him.

South Wake HVAC installed new heating systems and ductwork in my house. Woody Stokes did a fantastic job, was extremely professional, and explained exactly what he was doing and all options available. Our heat went out on a very cold and wet Sunday in late January this year. We tried resetting the whole system, tripping the breaker, and replacing the thermostat (this fixed a similar issue in an old house of ours). Nothing worked. The unit kept blowing cold air. We gave these guys a shout, and within a few hours Woody came to take a look. It was a Sunday. And it was pouring rain. He diagnosed it and told us he really wished he could fix it same day for us, but the unit would need a part that he could only get his hands on during the normal work week. He said he'd be back tomorrow. So we bought a couple space heaters, built a cocoon and braved the night. First thing in the AM (must have been no later than quarter past 9) we heard some banging outside. Woody was already back and working away at it. Within 30 minutes, the heat was pumping.

As we parted ways, I had the feeling that Woody was just one of those guys who really cared about people and really cared for his work. Not long after, My wife received a text from a fellow business owner who had watched one of her instagram stories and she exclaimed "No way, is that Woody from South Wake?!" He and his family are the BEST."

Woody (and South Wake HVAC) -- we hope you know that the care you put into your work and your genuine concern for your customers is EVERYTHING. It is so rare to find someone so invested these days. You have earned a customer (and many others, I'm sure) for life.

Woke up Friday and upstairs is freezing, we can hear the furnace blowing but no hot air escaping the vents. I made multiple calls to various HVAC companies within the area and left messages. I did not receive a call back from any of them. Got home and issue the same, whole house freezing. Call again to the places that I had called before, either no response or several days out this time. Return call to Southern Wake, within 5 minutes had a missed call from Woody. Returned his call, at this point it is 7pm, I am not expecting anything positive at this point. Surprise to me is that Woody came to the house, within 10 minutes knew what the issue was and explained would return with part for repair in the morning. Top things off I had some HVAC questions we have been discussing, he was able to give me detailed discussion about the questions. Woody returned the next day with the fan that was needed the next morning, ensuring to call prior to coming to let me know about his impending arrival. Woody came in, greeting everybody within the family including the timid dog. Went to location of the furnace and installed the fan, confirmed working and all complete within 15 minutes. I have to be honest that I expected a huge bill for weekend service, but this was not the case. Price was reasonable, service was well above expected, Woody showed class, courtesy, skill, and knowledge. I would recommend Southern Wake HVAC for any and all jobs regarding HVAC work.

Needed a new upstairs air handler and heat pump. South wake won the job due to cost, availability, and professionalism. Woody and his team showed up on time, did the job professionally, and then showed us how it all worked and answered our questions. It was very seamless and would highly recommend these guys to anyone to do any type of a/c job.
