After scheduling an appt last week that was cancelled same day, I tried again. Today the technicians showed up for a few electrical issues and when they couldn't quick fix them (they tried for about 5 mins) , they said their manager needed them to install a generator for someone else so they had to leave. When I asked when they could come back he said they were really busy and it could be weeks and suggested I call another company. And then he wanted $111 for the gas/trip fee. WHAT?!?!
I asked to be placed BACK on their schedule and if/when they show back up and fix the problems, I'll happily update this review (and pay them the one time $111 gas/trip fee).
DEFINITELY NOT COOL! I called Phillips in response to a family member's great/thorough experience with them, though he admitted they seemed "a bit pricey."
As far as repair, they were very prompt in answering my call, and sent someone out to check my HVAC system that was making a terrible noise when cutting off and on. The repairman was very chatty and seemed to be knowledgeable. He did give me choices of repair options, but kept saying, the first level ($335 repair for a contactor--which I'm told is high for that repair) may not fix the problem--but it could, and we could start there. But if it was the fan motor that would be $800-$1000. This is a 20 yr old unit, so I began at the first level, not wanting to spend a fortune, but as a single mom/teacher, I need to do what I can to keep it working. So I did the repair, but the next day, it went totally dead. So I went ahead and got an estimate from Phillips, also, while contacting other friends/repairmen to get their opinion as well. THIS is where I would NOT use Phillips. In short, the very nice, friendly salesman said I needed a new system, new insulation, attic fan, and new duct work to "solve my issues." He gave me a "discount" for the repair that hadn't worked and a $300 "discount" for being a teacher. Great, right? Except the total was a whopping $220,000! (And when I asked for a quote without all the extras, he said he couldn't offer me that--??!!) He offered payment plans, however, at 8.7% over 10 or 15 years-- are you serious?!
Two days of fans and windows later, a friend/HVAC professional came over and reported the need for a fan motor--that's it--$318 repair (and he didn't charge for the diagnosis). He will also be replacing it when needed for around $6000.
The repairman perhaps did his best, but the salesman/and or the company prices--NOT COOL!
I have worked with Phillips Air Care for a number of my real estate needs. I have utilized their expertise for sellers and buyers in both HVAC and plumbing. I personally have worked with Anthony and his knowledge, honesty, timely service and customer care is top notch. I rely on those character traits to care for my clients and I am never let down. From the office staff taking calls, scheduling appointments, calling for notice of 30 minute out arrives (and they are always on time) to the follow up after the call...I’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend their service.
I needed a couple of different services done at my home and Phillips Air Care was recommended to me by my father. I requested services online and was contacted by phone within a couple of hours to set up appointments. I explained everything that I needed done and was able to get appointments for all services the next week on the same day! Pricing was explained to be prior to the service visits.
Chance and one of his partners came to install two ceiling fans and fix an electrical shortage in my floodlight. He called beforehand to let me know he was on his way! They were efficient with their work, explained any problems they noticed, and tested to make sure everything worked before leaving. They were friendly, flexible, and pricing was very reasonable.
Victor came for my HVAC tuneup. He also called beforehand to let me know he was on his way. He was very professional and efficient. He asked me where everything was located in my home that he needed to access and he got right to work. When he was done, he explained to me that everything looked good with my equipment and let me know when my next semi-annual tuneup would be.
I highly recommend this company and will be contacting them again for future service needs!
Chance and Sydney made the process for my clients so simple and easy! They were flexible with scheduling and provided top notch service! We are so grateful for their patience and time as they answered all of our questions and concerns. Chance arrived early, made sure that my clients were satisfied and aware of the company's COVID procedures and took the time to provide a detailed explanation and overview of his work when done. As a Realtor in a smaller area at times, it can be hard to find reliable and honest professionals that will do what you need and make sure no loose ends are left. Thank you Chance and Sydney, I will totally be requesting Phillips and Chance for my future clients needs and my own! Thanks again for exceptional support and service!
FIVE STARS!!! We recently had Ryan and Nick from your electrical division come in to replace a few light switch and outlet units in our home. They were AWESOME!!! They were polite, professional, arrived within the timeframe they estimated in our phone call and they even had great conversation. Great team work with these two.
If we receive service from Phillips Air Care again I will definitely request Ryan and Nick.
if your techs are as awesome as these two, expect more requests from me.

My upstairs toilet was leaking at the bottom, and I was afraid the leak would harm ceiling below.
The Technician did an awesome job replacing worn out ring. He also cleaned up beautifully!
Joshua Larson is a someone I would use again if I have any future plumbing issues!
