Prime Comfort

Lance was awesome! My heat pump has not run correctly since it was installed 18 months ago - by another company - and it was randomly blowing cold air and costing me double what my old unit cost to run. Lance, first of all, believed what I was saying about it blowing cold air (the installing company told me it was running correctly) and then thoroughly investigated the problem and found the unit wired wrong. He was able to fix it and I couldn't be happier. I have finally found a new HVAC company that I will always use and recommend to anyone who needs one.

Brian came out to service our air conditioner today. He called ahead to verify the arrival time, was on time, showed the problem to me and gave me a reasonable price to fix everything. He was very professional. We have used the service a couple of times now and have been very pleased with the employees and the work done.

Highly recommend for service or new install. Overall great professional experience. Honest with no hard upsell, just the facts. Choose them after my previous long term HVAC company wasn't open for service calls on the weekend... I couldn't believe it either. I looked for reviews for companies and PC stood out. Will showed up in hours. Took his time, found a freon leak, recharged with a warning they didn't know how long it would last. Unfortunately A week later we were hot again. Bill Hix came out to quote a new Trane unit with his Dynamic Air duct design that splits the air flow in 2 with curved hard metal ducts instead of into a cube box. Seems to work unit is more quiet than previous one.

This guys are awesome, very knowledgeable, on time, professional, fast service definitely the ones to hire. I am so please with the service of my furnace. The ignator was not working properly and William replaced it really fast, check all the system for proper functionality, gave me some information about maintenance and offer me the different service packs that they have available. Hire them! Nice professional people. I definitely recommend them. Also they gave me warranty of 1 year for labor and ignator replacement .

Prime Comfort HVAC in Charlotte, NC provided great service and pricing to us recently when we had our heating and air conditioning units replaced. The workers were very professional, easy to work with, and finished the job in one day when it was convenient for us to be home. I would highly recommend them

From the moment I called panicked because we had CO2 leaking from HVAC heat system to the moment the technicians left after installing our new HVAC energy efficient heating and air system my fiance' and I were very impressed.

After reading all these rave reviews on Google, I decided to choose Prime Comfort for AC Maintenance back in April. I took advantage of their bi-annual plan and the HVAC guy showed up on time. He spent time in the attic with my handler, checked an issue I had with the heat, and then went out to check on the compressor. The man claimed to have done a bunch of things, but I never saw him do it and their website claims you get a detailed report (never got one). At the end, he mentioned my capacitor was failing and I had a very pitted contactor. Price quoted was $570 with 10% off for repairs (plus tax). I decided to think about it and let them know.

Being a handy person at home (I've done pretty much everything but roofing), I looked up about replacing those two items. Youtube is a godsend for DIY jobs and many videos on there showed replacing those two (most common failing) items in less than 30 minutes. I ordered the parts on Amazon for a grand total of $32.90 shipped in 2 days. Followed the directions on Youtube and it was fixed in under an hour. Honestly, I looked over the old parts and didn't notice wear and tear as the HVAC guy claimed. I just want to know how 30 minutes (probably $150 per hour) plus drive time, $32 dollar parts (less for them I am sure), and a nice profit adds up to nearly $600. I feel $300 would have been a more fair price.

Follow-up on 7/18 - I had Prime Comfort come back out to look over a duct that was hardly producing air in my daughter's bedroom. The tech took his time and tried to find the issue, but came to the conclusion the duct needs to be enlarged to allow more air through. He said it looked like the other bedroom next to that one had been redone with the same issue by the previous owners. The price quoted to replace the duct was reasonable and the tech was helpful on giving me more information about my current system.

I called Prime Comfort because my AC wasn't running. They were booked up but made time to come, diagnose the problem, and fix it all in less than 2 hours. I highly recommend them! We will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Very competitive rates for Trane central air installation. Job was completed before date promised on contract. Also used them to repair AC for a rental property. They showed up same day, found a relatively minor issue and fixed it right away.

We signed an annual contract with Prime Comfort late last year and have not been disappointed. The service has been great. Working with Kevin and Barbara in the office could not be any easier and the technicians that have visited the home are very professional and very qualified....would recommend the company to anyone.
