After 15 years and a season of expensive repairs, I knew it was time to replace our HVAC. I requested quotes from at least 5 different companies-Adams was suggested through Duke's referral process. From first contact with their excellent sales rep, Marco, working with their terrific installation crew on 2 units, the process was thorough, professional, friendly and most importantly, fair. Adams is a great company to work with and I feel wonderful about the interactions we had.

Adams is truly a pleasure to work with! I worked with Marco and the installation team to replace the ENTIRE heating and cooling systems in our new home. Adams never tried to upsell me on a system I didn't need and the installation team worked quickly to replace our A/C units on a very hot summer day. Adams Heating & AC was a dream to work with! They are very professional, kind, very responsive, and flexible. We had my whole HVAC unit replaced, flushed out, the works! Jim W. who handled our specific project was quick, efficient, and provided us with the best service possible. Being that we weren't even living in our home yet and having work done while not being present, Adams made the process easy and stress free! We used Adams to replace our AC this summer when our 27 year old system finally crashed during a heat wave. We reached out to three different companies, but none were as prompt, professional, and reasonably priced as Adams. Marco Ferreira was on top of everything. From promptly answering calls and emails to keeping us informed every step of the way. He was able to ensure we received our new unit in an extremely timely manner and everything was done to the upmost quality. Juan and Miguel, both of who worked on installing the unit, were great as well, letting us know every single thing they were doing and did not take any short cuts. I recommend Adams to anyone who needs HVAC or similar services they cover and we will be using them for all needs going forward.

WOW! Adams did a great job replacing our original A/C and furnace in our home. Diagnosis, recommendations and then replacement of our system went so smoothly. Jim recommended the change and Matthew, Juan and Adam followed thru with the installation and did a GREAT job. On the hottest day this 2023, we have a/c!!

This was our second time using Adams (first was for heat repair, this time was for AC repair) and I can’t recommend them enough! Byron Jackson, the tech who performed the repair service, had to come out on 2 separate days and was on time both visits. He had to return the next day since he didn’t have the part on him, but the company reached out and was able to get us an appointment for first thing the following morning rather than having to deal with no AC for another full day.

Byron worked quickly and was very pleasant to work with. Being without AC in the hot summer months is never fun - especially when you have 3 large dogs - but Byron was thankfully able to get us back up and running in a matter of a few hours after replacing our evaporator coil. Everyone I spoke to in regards to this service - including the service manager and the woman who helped me set up both appointments - were extremely helpful and very friendly. Pricing is reasonable - I called around to get an estimate from a few other local AC/heat repair places before scheduling the repair with Adams and the other companies quoted me for relatively the same price. Thank you for providing consistently great service!!

I cannot fully express the level of TERRIFFIC this company actually is. It's never "comfortable" to have a team of strangers in your home, except this time. They kept my floors clean even though it was pouring rain during the install. They were friendly and respectful. It was a pleasure having the team here. The finished product is also clean, and organized. We are feeling a little fancy with the upgrade. Hire Adams, you won't be disappointed.

This company is a complete fraud. They upsell options such as Zoning which was sold to us by “ Marco Ferreira” for $1300 and it never worked. So this Zoning option upsold by the so called Comfort specialist Marco was a complete money grab and it was like throwing down money down the drain and into the coffers of John Adams.

The extra work and the delay in installation was because of change in furnace a decision made by Adams based on non availability of the agreed upon unit at the time of install and the lack of accurate measurements by their comfort specialist - Marco— all of which was their fault. They could have pre ordered the agreed upon unit or measured the attic space correctly.

Somehow Adams takes pride in extra work they did which was a direct result of their own incompetence and lack of due diligence before the installation.

I was never happy with the delay and was livid during installation and had expressed my frustration to Marco and installation team and even spoke with the service manager and expressed my displeasure the day of the installation as we had to sleep in the home without a functioning AC . So Adams and their installation team could not fit the unit in the attic space since they didn’t know how much space was required for the unit and who was responsible for measuring the Attic space prior to install - one MARCO FERREIRA !!

This is like the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand was doing..

If Marco had measured the Attic space correctly than the delay would have not happened and also there was no need to reconfigure the attic space and extra work Adams seems to take a misplaced sense of pride.. So you don’t do the due diligence and prep work and that causes the delay and result in doing the extra work and customer not having a functioning AC overnight and somehow the business takes pride in this botched installation.

So Marco or team who is responding to the review conveniently leaves out the detail about not measuring correctly the attic space and prep work that could have prevented the extra work and delay all of which was their own fault and doing…

They also overcharge far more than average price for their service contracts and find certain parts such as Air Switches etc that needs to be replaced and overcharge for the installation. I will not recommend this business to anyone in Charlotte as there are plenty of honest HVAC providers out there.
