My heat pump was struck by lightning and needed to be replaced. I called this place because my old unit was a Lennox, and they are the only Lennox dealer in the area.
A guy came out, inspected everything, then told me they’ll send a quote within 72 hours.
I called their office a week later because I heard nothing. The person told me they would reach out to the guy that came here. Two days after that, I received an email stating that they are declining to quote.
Terrible experience all around.

Paul Adler: Smoky Mountain Heating&Cooling charged me $802.00 for the replacement of a valve but valve was not the issue. And I was charged $134 for an initial diagnostic that was incorrect.
They then identified the issue as being something completely different then the valve and again wanted to charge me $134 for a second diagnosis and $267 to replace a part that has one screw. It was covered under warranty so was free and took less then five minutes to replace.
After paying them almost a thousand dollars the issue was not fixed and they wanted to keep charging for more parts so I had another company come out to look at it. Sheer Comfort found the issue in ten minutes. A loose wire. I was charged almost a thousand dollars for a loose wire.

The technician was courteous and efficient. They were able to get to us the next day after our AC went out and their pricing is reasonable for the visit and the part to fix the AC.

Had this company replace a really old and leaking unit with a new one and I have to say their service is top notch. Great customer service and nice service technicians. I am very pleased with the new unit and the quality of the install. I would highly recommend this company over any other in the Asheville area.
