I called Staten island plumbing because my thermal coil had burned out. The woman I spoke to was very nice I explained I have a small child and I have MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS and how soon can they come to repair it. The woman advised me about 2 hours. This is where the nightmare begins.
The tech asked me if i was quoted a price i advised him no. He advises me the house call is cost 65.00 put if I go through with the repair it would not be charged. He checked the heater advised the thermal coil needed to be replaced and needed to purchase it. He advises me 275.00 to repair. Fyi the part costs about 20 dollars i agreed and he said would be back in around an hour. He left after 2 hours I called him he said he had to go to 2 plumbing supplies places to get it was on his way. He returned approximately 15 minutes later. As he proceed to work he tries to remove the soft metal nuts connected to the gas gauge. He had an open end wrench and was having problem getting nuts off the
gas gauge. I advised him he should use a smooth lock wrench because he was stripping the nuts. I had checked prior to see what the procedure was to remove the nuts from the gas gauge/ignitor he says to me do you have one I said do you do you need one he said yes. I provided him with 2 Wrench's he then asked me if I had a screwdriver I proceeded to get a screwdriver but when I returned he said he didn't need it. He got all the connections off but in the process stripped one of the fittings and said I now needed to replace the gas gauge because the nuts were on to hard. He advised me now it would be 350.00. I advised him why do I have to pay for something you broke. And he was supposed to used a smooth lock wrench not the green open end wrench. He said the other person put them on to hard. I offered him WD 40 he refused. I called the office and spoke with the dispatcher and advised her of the situation. She said she would call the head office and they would get back to me no return call. He said he was going to the plumbing store to get the new gas gauge. I waited no call no plumber. He never called me back I called the office they said the gates were just being put down at hylan plumbing. I was advised he would go pick up the part at 730am and would be back at my house by 830 I never got a call and he never showed up. I called the office 942 and advised them he was a no show and as I stated yesterday I have a 1030 Dr Appt. The dispatcher called him she said he could not find the part. I proceeded to advise her where is the communication letting me know what's going on. She apologized and said she would call him now. He said he was going to Sears or try in jersey. I was then advised it a mail order part and was advised he would have to order it and it would be mailed or he would check in Jersey and she would call me back. I asked her how long would it take to order she said she would have him check and call me back.That call transpired at 10.15. I received a call back at around 445pm . I was told I would have to order and pay for it. She said I have a restocked water heater that was for another customer I'll give yo a break 1100.00 2 year warranty. I said why would I accept that deal . I said I want some restitution for breaking the other part on my water heater she calls me back around 730 says can't offer you the other deal the other dispatcher sold it. She then advises me so do I want a new water heater. I advised her I'm going to send her the pictures of how the tech left my water heater and then she can tell me if I want them in my house.

Representative on the phone was very rude. Took my number and said that plumber will call me in 20-30 min. No one ever called. called them 2nd time and after about 30 min plumber called me and said that he will come in about 30 min. Nobody ever came after all. I've lost whole day waiting. When I've called them again, I was told that nobody will come and I should call some one else. Terrible experience. Save your time, call some one else. There are many companies on the market.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST service you can get. We’ve used them before and price/service was decent. Recently had someone come over to fix a VERY SIMPLE leak, guy was here for less than an hour, maybe 40 min. Charged well over $400! Owner Tony is the worst business person I have ever encountered and this company should be avoided like the plague. You’ve been warned.

My water heater broke in my basement a week or so ago. A friend of mine recommended SI Plumbing & Heating. I called and spoke to the owner Anthony, within an hour a very helpful, educated, and courteous repair man was sent to my house he gave me a incredibly reasonable price and the job was done quickly and efficiently. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone in the SI area looking for a great plumber. As i have already recommended them to my brother who just had the same issue as mine. I have used this company over the years and never had an issue... a few days ago in had a clog that burst a pipe.... called them..said a technician would call....Robert called me 5 minutes later and was at my home under an hour... he was polite and professional and loved to br asked questions and never gave me an attitiude.... the clog was really bad and brought help the next morning , Rudy and Robert resolved the issue. .replaced the broken pipe and took the time to clran up real good after because they knew I have cats and seemed genuinely concerned. ..... while I'm not 100% on whether or not the prices are too high..or price per hour...they got the job done and that's what I wanted.... definitely ask for Robert or Rudy.... all my plumbing needs will be done via staten island plumbing

I had a Plumber named Jay. He came in and assessed my issues in a matter of a few minutes. I had a block in my Radiator line that was affecting a few radiators. He drained the boiler and flushed the lines and replaced a few air vents. During his time here I chewed his ear off, I am an obnoxiously curious person and asked a ton of questions, not just about the issue, but about my whole system. Jay answered ever question effortlessly. He really KNOWS HIS STUFF! All of that and the price was right on point. This company is fantastic!
