Excellent Air Heating & Cooling

The Excellent Air team did a great job installing our new furnace, a/c, and hot water tank. The owner discussed the different brands, models, and options, and answered all of our questions. It was also very helpful that they split up the removal of the old equipment, and the new installation to make way for the basement contractor we had doing foundation work. They even filled out the warranty registration and RG&E rebate forms for us. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

There is no substitute for quality. Greg, the owner, is a quality person. His guys, Matt and Dado, are quality professionals. They showed up exactly on time, did a great job under some difficult circumstances and challenges left by the original contractor many years ago, explained and tested everything. They even fixed a few extra things that I hadn't noticed on my own or asked for! I could have gone a little cheaper on a new furnace, but I never would have been this happy with the results. The difference is so amazing. And a great warranty! No worries for many years to come. This is the best choice.

Over the years we have purchased 2 furnaces, a tankless hot water heater and an A/C unit from this company. We have referred many family and friends to this company as well since up until now we have been happy with the service.
We received a call from them a few weeks ago to come and clean our ducts and do an annual check for 340.00. I said ok, and they came 7 days ago. When they were here the service man said he changed the speed on the fan of the A/C so it would run more efficiently. He also said our unit was too small for the house size. Oddly, they have come every year and no one mentioned that before. 6 days after he serviced the unit the A/c froze up into a chunk of ice. We turned it off and called at midnight to the 24/7 emergency line. Someone called me back and I explained their guy was just here 6 days ago and changed the fan speed. This guy Charlie said that wouldn’t cause a freeze up. Just turn it off and I’ll get back with you in the morning. We were concerned because the melting ice water was leaking into the electronic controls of the furnace! Next morning Charlie calls back, says the unit was on its way out anyways and nothing their guy did caused this. I said well can you come and at least look at it to see. He said for another 150 service fee he will. He repeated that nothing his guy did would cause a freeze up. He said can’t be fixed you need a new unit. Then he asked me if I paid the bill yet from their visit 7 days ago!? (Huh! What?!). I said I was waiting for the email bill, he said ok we just sent it now and for me to pay immediatly. What the hell! I have been an excellent customer, always paid in full for everything we have ever purchased from them, this is how you treat a long time customer? I ended the call by asking if we went ahead and purchased a new unit when would that be, he said we can look at schedule maybe get you in some time this week. Gee don’t go out of your way. I am done. Going elsewhere lost my faith in this company. They took zero responsibility for the fact that everything was running fine until they changed the fan speed. I am happy to meet half way, but that apparently wasn’t going to happen. You lost a good customer who refers regularly.

Update: within a day I received an apology from Charlie and from Greg the owner. We talked the situation through and I am satisfied with our resolution. No company is or personnel is perfect, misunderstandings and errors can happen . This company took responsibility and stood behind their work as they always have in the past for me. Happy to say this company did the right thing. I will continue to recommend.

Excellent Service! Great team starting from the service call to the guys that installed my new furnace. Very professional and friendly. Everything was explained so I could understand what I was buying and completely stress free. Recommend this company highly!

Excellent Air &Heating was the best phone call I ever made. Late fall I decided to replace my central A/C. Excellent Air Heating more then exceed my expectations and more. They have also repaired my furnace in the past.
I know nothing about Heating and A/C, but I do not have to. I know who to call.

we all should be supporting our neighbors.

Excellent Air and Heating was in every way EXCELLENT. The morning I called them about my mother’s furnace breaking down they had a crew out there that after. That same afternoon the company owner sat down with me to work out a finance plan. 24 hours later my mother’s house had a new furnace up and running. I highly recommend this fine company.

They were on time, thorough, clean, efficient, polite, and did a good job overall. I also think I got a good price for the new furnace and AC unit. So far it's working well. Very quiet, which is a nice change from my previous furnace.

Excellent Service! I called them for a cost estimate after consulting with Issac heating. The owner himself (Greg) came to give the estimate. I followed up with Greg that Friday once my wife and I made the decision and the following Wednesday I had a new furnace and A/C (for the first time). I am so impressed at how quick they were, pleasant to work with and their price was much better than Issac (by $3,500). They even recommended installing a booster fan for $700 to help with our bedroom instead of changing a bunch of duck work. Also the quoted price was EXACTY what I paid, no surprises! I look forward to being a long time customer of theirs. Thanks guys!

Excellent Air has provided me with outstanding service here in Canandaigua for 10 years on my York furnace. All my questions are answered in a manner that I expect and their suggestions are very helpful as well. I've had work done in my home in the past by bigger companies like HALCO, and had major disappointments, but with Excellent Air, I always had great service.

Wow...Excellent Air Heating & Cooling is just that - excellent! We highly recommend them...family owned and operated for 20+ years, we got a top of the line Ruud furnace for a very reasonable price, they fixed all kinds of bad ductwork in this old house, problem solved our air conditioning issue, worked fast, clean and pleasantly. Really nice guys & Greg the owner took lots of time explaining how the new efficient furnaces work. I ran out of questions LOL. An added bonus - one of the technicians is deaf - a real asset in Rochester because we have a large deaf population!
