Adams is the best HVAC company we have dealt with in over 50 years of owning four homes in the NY Capital District. Recently purchased an 18 year old 3,500 sq ft home. After searching reviews, chose Adams Heating & Cooling to replace the original two zone furnace and central air. Highly professional people to work with throughout their organization - representatives, sales, scheduling and installation. Fair price for replacement system. 2-3 skilled installers working on job. Thorough explanations of work done. Respectful of us, our home and our time. Calls returned quickly. Job site kept clean and orderly over two days (finished earlier than 3 day estimate). Ensured heat working after first day on the job. Arrived on time each morning. While installing new furnace, noticed and replaced a non-functional expansion tank and leaking relief valve on our gas water heater before those became a bigger problem. We contract with them now for annual maintenance and additional benefits. Well worth the peace of mind which working with Adams Heating and Cooling provides.

I called Adams when my hot water heater sprang a leak and I had water all over my basement floor. My first impression was that someone actually answered the phone when I called (huge!) and I had a return call within an hour! They were able to replace it within a few days. While that work was being scheduled I realized my furnace and A/C was in need of replacing so I had Jake come out and give me a quote. I scheduled a duct cleaning and replacement of my old furnace with a high efficiency one. The two men that replaced the water heater and the two men that cleaned my ducts and installed my furnace were outstanding. The day they did the furnace install they took only one break for a 30-minute lunch. I don't even think they took the full 30 minutes. They arrived by 7:45 in the morning and worked all day. Everyone at Adams is friendly, professional, courteous, and just all-around nice people to work with. They explain the work they are doing and after it is done, show you what they installed and tell you anything you need to know; answer all your questions. I HIGHLY recommend Adams.

Waking up into the cold house in the winter morning is not my kind of fun. Called ADAMS right a way and ask for help. They sent me service man as soon as possible (about 15 min. or less). Technician found the problem and needed replacement part. Call all over stores to find it until it was in Troy. He drove there and back install new part and got heating going. That was an excellent job. Thank you all of employees who were involved. And I am one happy person!

Family owned business and it feels like that when dealing with Adams. Prices are reasonable. They’ve installed ductless units for us now they’ll be doing out furnace due to their service and prices.

Norm & Matt were prompt and thorough. Norm was very professional and spent time explaining each step he was taking to repair my AC system . If you need AC service I highly recomment Adams Heating and Cooling.

We got several quotes from area heating and cooling services. From estimate to installation- Adams beat them all. The quote included quite a bit of extras that the others didn't include (at a cheaper price I might add.) After speaking with Chris Church (estimator) he noticed several safety items that the previous installers missed (and included fixing them in the quote.) We spoke about our careers and I mentioned serving in the military. He didn't miss a beat and included a discount on the quote for serving. The installation crew arrived on time and could not have been more professional and respectful (thanks Jackson and Alvin.) Laid tarps to protect our carpets.
Two day job- They even cleaned up after themselves the first day.
Could not be more pleased with the installation. It looks great. Will have to wait for warmer weather to test the A/C unit but the furnace is almost silent and runs great.
IF I had to dig really deep to find something to improve on it would be to suggest shoe coverings. The crew obviously could not tarp the carpeted stairs (safety reasons,) and that carpet took a beating after snowing the night before.
I would use Adams again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC services.

These guys were awesome! I was having a hard time getting heat at my house for about a week with my current provider. I reached out to Adams around 8AM and they were at my house by 9:30. Heat back on my 10. Tom was able to explain the issue so I know for next time. 10/10 service

The process from diagnoses of the issue, determination that my 20 year old gas forced hot air furnace should be replaced sooner rather than later, the guidance on which models would be best for my application, the estimate process, and the installation went very well, very efficient and professional which has been my continued experience with Adams Heating & Cooling. I've been a customer for years having had the hot water heater replaced in 2019, an emergency service call in March 2014 when the furnace control board failed (they were amazing on that one...at my house the next day with the problem resolved and heat restored in a just a few hours with a very reasonable bill,) to regular inspection service calls. Pricing is fair and competitive and everyone I've talked to on the phone and met in person have been pleasant and professional. The team that just installed my new furnace and AC were excellent. Prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, more than happy to answer all of my questions and did so in great detail. Further, they were very respectful of the house being very careful with both the removal of the old equipment and the movement of the new equipment into the basement. Not a single wall ding, which is great. The installation went smoothly, right on the planned schedule and I'm very pleased with the end result.
