Rotterdam Heating & Air Conditioning

We just replaced our furnace and air conditioner. I was nervous about hiring Rotterdam H&AC because some of the reviews were negative. They were also the low bid on this project (by quite a bit). I am 100% satisfied. They did a perfect rip-out of the old system and did a really professional job installing the new system. All of the connections were well made. The PVC drain line plumbing was done with care; it was carefully sloped and was installed to minimize disruption to the furnace room - someone who didn't care could easily have used less pipe and joints, but it would have looked bad. Nice job.

Family business with excellent customer service. We had a ductless air conditioning unit put in - they were able to deal with our old house. Their installers were professional and on time. The system works fabulously and the ductwork is hardly noticeable! We couldn't be more pleased.

Jamey is always responsive and attentive to my needs. Great service at a great price.

Had Rotterdam Hearing come for a service on my furnace. Seemed knowledgeable and were decent to work with while they were here. Ordered parts a couple of parts. Said he would call when they came in. That was over a month ago. Never heard back at all. Now I get to a second company a service fee and try again.

We are very pleased with our new furnace and AC. Everything from the bidding, through the design and installation was done very professionally and competently. It all went quickly and without a mess. The system works well, and exactly as presented. Special thanks to Nick, Henry and Jamie.

I just purchased a 2 family in Schenectady a few months ago, we had to call National Grid because of a gas leak. They red tagged the the gas line coming to the 2nd floor that connected to our stove in the kitchen because it was a copper pipe, which is illegal to have. National Grid gave me 2 recommendations of contractors to call. I reached out to get an estimate and the one didn't even want to be bothered and the other tried to say we needed to knock out a wall on the first floor to get to the gas line to repair it, and gave me an outrageously high price. I called Rotterdam Heating and the next day Jamey showed up, gave me a very reasonable price on replacing the pipe and took the time to go over exactly what needed to be done. Within 48 hours of my call to Rotterdam Heating, the pipe has been replaced and National Grid came back and approved the pipe. Thank you so much

I had a great experience with this company as I first spoke to Laurie in the office to explain the issue I had with my furnace shutting off as the temperature outside was dropping for another very cold day. Laurie was able to send Joe to my residence within the hour. Joe quickly assessed the problem,called supply companies to find the specfic part that I needed and was able to troubleshoot so that my furnace would turn back on until the part was available.The following day, as Laurie and I spoke, she was already making arrangements for the delivery of the part for my furnace and making sure I understood all my options. She was most helpful and understanding as well as efficient. Thank you, Laurie and Joe.

It has now been two heating seasons since Rotterdam Heating installed a new gas steam boiler and we could not be happier.
The installation went very smoothly from the initial proposal to light off.
