I have a maintenance agreement with Richair to take care of my wall mounted inverters (cold/heat). They fixed a connection issue the first time they came, and then came regularly after that to test and clean all of my units. Their staff is good, responsive, and very professional. I never fell like I have to look over their shoulders when they are working around the apartment. I ended up recommending them to my neighbors and now the whole building is using them!
Beware of this company! Very sketchy and deceitful. I see there is another business that gave a poor review for similar reasons before me but I decided to wait 8 months to give a review of Richair Comfort solutions because I wanted to be fair. I had 3 Mitsubishi Hyper units installed in my store.back in May 2021. I chose Richair because they seemed to be very professional in the beginning. Jim was a pleasure to deal with and was very upfront about costs and what to expect, including the 12k dollars in rebates I would receive shortly after the completion of the job through Con Ed clean energy rebate program along with about $400 in rebate cards directly from Mitsubishi. The installation was fast and without problems. My problems with Richair began after several months passed and I had received no rebates or rebate cards. I called numerous times to see what was going on. Every time I called I was given the " We apologize for holdup we'll call you back when we find out why the rebates haven't been sent". It was at time time I learned that the contractor normally deducts the rebate from the bill up front and what Richair did with me was unusual. After a few months of more calls and being given the run around I was told a new person would be handling my case. Ryan seemed to be helpful but it also appeared he was starting the application process from scratch and in that time I hadn't received any real indication progress was actually being made. Now Ryan is gone and Sheila is handling my acct. and unfortunately after 9 months of excuses and wasted time I have yet to receive anything form of rebate from ConEd or the Mitsubishi rebate cards. Im now discussing this matter with lawyers and I will update of the outcome. However I can't stress enough to be fully aware of this company and it's practices before deciding to mod business with them. There are plenty of other companies that are more reputable
I purchased my AC units from Richair just under 2 years ago. Today, the system is out of refrigerant and inoperable. I went with Richair because they did a great job of getting me technical specifications and helping me to make good decisions about installation in the planning stage. During the installation there were frequent miscommunications between the installers and the planning team, which led to the installation taking longer than expected and leaving me with about 15 large holes in my ceiling that I had to repair myself, despite the workers telling me the entire time not to worry about the holes because there was another crew coming to patch them. My system worked fine for about a year. Starting a few months ago, it wasn't generating heat or cooling the air at all. When I reached back out to Richair, they treated me like I was a new client. They told me that they had no record of me doing any business with them other than the installation. $20K into our relationship, they required me to pre-pay for a service call. I was hesitant, but felt like I had no choice. When the repairman showed up, he laughed when he told me that there wasn't a drop of refrigerant left in the system. He asked who installed the system. When I reminded him that it was their job, he shrugged his shoulders and told me that it would be $325 to replace the refrigerant and another $1600 (minimum) to do a leak check on the system that they had installed. When I spoke to corporate, certain that they would stand by their work, I heard back that they would be happy to sell me a 12-year service contract for $4600 for my system. At that point, I decided to stop throwing good money after bad and found a new company to do the work. I informed them that I would be writing a review and, after posting my original review, a law firm contacted me with a cease and desist letter, threatening to sue me unless I took it down. I urge caution in working with this company.
This company is completely unprofessional, careless, & has no accountability. Amanda specifically doesn’t even know how to handle a customer problem/complaint. What she will opt to do is hang up on you when things get hot why? Because she herself has no sense of professionalism. She is definitely in the wrong industry because if you choose to deal with customer you choose to deal with all customers, the super easy ones and the super hard ones. Especially if a customer is upset for unfinished work that has been postponed beyond reasonable time, you should definitely know how to handle that but the lack of professionalism doesn’t allow her to do that. Poor customer service, I will definitely be doing the opposite of recommending this company to everyone I know. No accountability, and intolerable. Train your employees to deal with difficult situations and maybe they’d be able to de escalate the situation. I hope more people don’t have to suffer the poor customer service you guys provide. It all starts good when they’re giving you the contract and once that is signed forget it all promises are out the window, and all attention to keeping you a happy customer is gone. Beware of this unprofessional company and it’s personnel specially Amanda. She needs customer service training again or to re evaluate working in a customer facing role.
We installed our Mitsubishi air and heat system with Rich-Air last year and have been completely happy with the switch. Rich-Air did the job quickly and cleanly and they have been excellent with the follow up service to keep the system clean and running smoothly. My Representative Jim and Christina were great the whole way. We are very satisfied with the purchase and performance of the system.

They were transparent on the fact that due to the current health crisis, they were not doing any maintenance visit until October, as they could not prioritize the non-essential interventions. Their technician was really professional and knowledgable. He laid out clearly our options to fix our problem, and was not trying to push for the most expensive one. The turn around for the quotes was quick and we are so far very satisfied with their services.
Everyone that I have dealt with from this company was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. It is nice to know that there are still companies out there that provide excellent service.
