    I have been pleased with Hometown Heating and AC for many years. They are trustworthy, professional and on time. This summer our AC broke down. Service was arranged quickly and new equipment was explained fully. Eric and Matt replaced our AC condenser and we are thrilled with their work.

    Do not go with this company; they are unprofessional and will leave you financially responsible for their mistake. The first hot weekend, we turned on our central AC. It was working fine, but the condensate pump was making a loud noise. I called hometown heating to replace it. They came that Monday. He did not check to see if my system was still working after he replaced it. I stupidly did not run it that week because it was cool out, and I trusted that they could handle a simple job, as well as my system itself had been working fine before he came. Fast forward to the following Saturday when there’s a heat advisory. Our AC won’t turn on. I have a toddler in the house. I first call hometown heating; they say they’re not available until Monday. I initially took the appointment in case I couldn’t find anyone else that weekend; I didn’t think to be pushy about it (the scheduler brought up my previous visit so they were aware they had done work that week). I frantically start calling other companies throughout the day; as the day went on my toddler’s room was reading 100 degrees. Another company calls me back at 4 saying they’re fitting me in and are coming now. I of course accept. I take him outside to the outside part of the unit; he hooks up a tester and it immediately turns on and tells me the problem must be it not being signaled from inside. I show him the thermostat, which is on. I take him down to where the furnace and condensate pump are. He takes off the little caps that I’m assuming cover the wiring connections between the pump and furnace. He asks if my husband and I did this because it’s clearly not done right. I tell him no, we had a professional come. He has me take pictures because it’s clearly messed up. He fixes the wiring connections from the condensate pump. Magically my system starts working again. It was clear the difference between the two companies, because this technician inspected everything even after the AC turned on and tested the condensate pump itself was working to make sure we had no unexpected issues. The company was Charles Heating; I highly recommend you go there instead. I then go to work another 12 hr night shift on no sleep. Early Monday, I call hometown heating to cancel and explain the situation. I first get their answering service; that woman was very polite and professional. Later another woman calls saying I heard you called to cancel an appointment? I politely say well yes I did let the other woman know I didn’t need the appointment, but the issue was caused by the work you did on Monday, and I would like to talk to someone about being reimbursed. She immediately gets snotty and says “it was actually the owner who came out, he’s been doing this for 35 years, you’ll have to take it up with him.” I say ok have him call me. He calls me back. His tone was polite, but he keeps insisting I should have told them I wasn’t ok with waiting until Monday. I keep explaining I was worried about my toddler with the heat advisory so when your scheduler said you were booked until Monday, I was desperately trying to find someone who could come out as my daughter’s room was 100 degrees. He keeps saying well they would have fixed it for free. I keep explaining that I didn’t know to be pushy when I called because I didn’t initially know it was their mistake. I send him photos of the bad wiring job, as well as reiterating the inconvenience it caused me. He then again just says well it’s your fault for not expressing your unhappiness when you accepted the appointment on Monday and not letting the scheduler know I was concerned for my toddler, was 7 months pregnant, and would be working (as an RN who takes care of kids) on no sleep. Do not trust them to do their work right and do not trust them to stand by their work. I now had to pay double for a simple job. I will be taking this further but hoping to save people the headache of dealing with them with this review.

    Hometown is the best…Eric took the time to explain what had to be done and why. Gave us options and held true to his word. Technicians showed up on time, worked clean, very courteous and fully reviewed what they were doing. 5 star plus on sales and service.

    Hometown Heating and AirConditioning is the only service I would have in my house! I first hired them in 2001 to repair my air conditioning. I was so impressed by the quality and value of their service I have had them back to install a new furnace, air conditioner, fire logs, and clean the ductwork in my house.     Love Hometown heating and air! They replaced my hot water tank. The two guys that put it in were great.After they were down they even offer to clear the bottom of my driveway where the plows blocked me in. They do great work and always leave my place clean.
