Subcontractor for construction company. They did not follow code or manufacturers guidelines during install. They also ran the HVAC unit during sanding , sheet rocking and concrete joint cutting. When asked about the hvac issues, concerns were met with gaslighting, aggressiveness and blatant ignoring of phone calls. If you do not have to go with this company RUN don’t walk. You’ll save yourself thousands in the long run.

Albany Mechanical services hooked up wires to a old boiler in my house. The wires were disconnected on accident and not put back in place by the previous electrician working on a different issue. I did not notice this until I went to go kick on my heat. At that point I called Albany Mechanical for no heat. The tech came out and said the wires were not hooked up and that was the issue. He did say the boiler pump needed to be replaced due to the fact that it was "churning" but at no point did he say that the power was surging or a safety hazard. He said he reconnected the wires and everything was working. Little did we know for 3-4 months the wires that were hooked back up were touching and slowly melting.

Spoke to the owner on 4/9/2020 after two weeks of calling the office. He stated that the tech said the power was surging which at no point was disclosed or said. He also said that they can't be responsible for old equipment which is perfectly fine the point is if the wires and boiler and pump were safety hazards why were they hooked up to begin with?

I had to call 2 electricians to come out on an emergency call for repairs so my house didn't burn down. I have done repeated business with this company for 6 years under various LLCS for multiple commercial properties. All this over $267.00 dollar repair. Instead of doing the right thing I now have to go a different route to get my original payment back. I am not asking for the payments that I made to a different company to fix the issue just my original payment made to Albany Mechanical.

I even have a video of these wires sparking flame as the boiler kicks on.

My mother called another company who wanted to charge us $2500 to run a test and do some diagnostic work. We called Albany Mechanical to test the system and they were totally HONEST. It was simple thermostat issue. Albany Mechanical is a trustworthy company who fixed our issue without gouging us. Thank you for saving us from being ripped off. I will tell everyone how great this company is, not to mention the system is older and was originally installed by Albany Mechanical.

Unprofessional technicians and when contacting management about the technicians, they did not seriously address the issue/technician at hand and attempted to put blame on us. Worst management I’ve ever personally dealt with. Would never recommend to anyone.
