I bought a used Friedrich AC unit from a coworker but when I installed it, it did not work properly. I called John to ask if it was worth repairing. He asked questions regarding the model and serial number and realized it was within the manufacturer's limited warranty - it was definitely worth a visit. He came over the same day. He quickly realized it wasn't the unit but a power issue (outlet was 110v, AC was 220v). After checking my circuit box, he determined he could fix it and quoted a price. He asked a few questions, letting me know what he as doing along the way, double checked the installation and had me verify it was working satisfactorily before he left. He even petted my cat when she investigated. I definitely recommend and will use him again if needed.

John provided outstanding service from start to finish. My ac’s drain pan was overflowing with water and John diagnosed the issue right away. Other companies I called suggested that they remove my ac and take to their shop for a full cleaning which would cost several hundred dollars. Meanwhile John fixed my ac in my apartment within 30 mins and charged a fair price. Actually he could have charged more and I’d still be happy due to his great attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure I felt comfortable (during covid pandemic) while taking the time to allow me to fully understand the mechanics behind the problem. John also went above and beyond to work within my timeline and was able to fit me in within a couple days while other companies said it’d take at least a week to make an appointment. John’s wealth of knowledge paired with his friendly honest approach is a rarity. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

John is a magician. After going through a number of service people to help fix our AC units, with no luck, John was thoughtful and helped map out the system to identify the problem. He truly saved the day.

He is always really responsive and I have recommended him to a number of friends. The last time he was at my apartment he event fixed the refrigerator while he was there.

John was outstanding in identifying and correcting an air condition issue I was struggling with for over 2 months. In addition, his attitude was great. I was 30 minutes late, and he waited with no issue. It took 2 hrs to identify the issue, which John did (cause was me) and then addressed it in less than 5 minutes. John saved me -- I wish I had bought my A/C from him! I was having trouble with setting up my new A/C's wifi even though I've set up networks in my home countless time and am reasonably experienced with this sort of thing. Nevertheless, I couldn't make it work. I worked with Friedrich tech support bit they gave up and offered me two phone numbers. The first number I called didn't know how to help -- then I called John. He was highly responsive and fixed the problem promptly once he arrived. The FriedrichConnect app is a little funky -- John is the only one who knew how to make it happen. I should also mention that the A/C was making an unwelcome sound, but only on occasion. John is the only one who explained why this would be happening. I highly recommend him. He's my go-to guy now. A pleasure to work with.

I can't thank John enough. I've had a programming issue with my new Friedrich Wallmaster for months without any resolution of the issue. I was ready to give up when I found John. He followed up with me, came right on schedule, and competently completed the programming and didn't leave until I understood exactly how to do it myself. He was professional, completely competent and knowledgeable, and very nice to the bargain. If I could give him six stars, I would.

We called John after a frustrating day of trying to set up the wifi on our new Friedrich AC. Neither our internet provider nor Friedrich could walk us through the process. John Plaut was easy to communicate with, came when he said he would, got the job done & answered our endless questions with a friendly easy going manner. He even followed up with a phone call to see how we were doing. He was a pleasure to work with.
