We just had our first service call with Superior Co-op for our Propane Fireplace. Excellent, friendly and courteous. So hard to find these days. So thankful to have a trustworthy Company we can call on and recommend to others.

So the responsiveness of Gerry and crew was great but lacking in problem solving skills. My oil boiler maintenance was routine and though there were no problems when they arrived, I had problems after they left my home.

The main problem was that the smell of unburned home heating oil was pervasive weeks after the maintenance was completed. Gerry and a crew member came back twice to try and resolve the problem, even on Christmas Eve, but had no luck eliminating the problem. After calling in another service person, and paying an additional $122, the new person found that the nozzle was not tightened sufficiently causing fuel to leak at that location. Upon tightening the nozzle, the smell of unburned fuel was eliminated.

Gerry and crew continually tried to address the problem by focusing on the exhaust of the boiler and in doing so dislodged a piece of insulation surrounding the Burner area. This caused a minor chemical smell every time the boiler fired for any length of time. This was a tough one to resolve but ultimately we did.

Though well-intentioned, the problem solving approaches were lacking and ended up costing me significant amounts of time and money that I wish I could have avoided.

I had a ductless AC system installed. Gerald and his crew did an excellent job the install was quick and professionally done, the system has been working great. I am pleased with the product and workmanship.

Gerald, the owner, came to my business on December 30th to fix a broken pipe and a furnace. He spent two hours and could not get either to work leaving me without heat. He said that he would come back two days later to finish the job. For that day he gouged me for $500. While he was doing the job he said that I would be charged double time, not before. Two days later he said that he is booked out for two weeks. So, now I have to get someone else as I cannot wait two weeks. I paid 500 dollars for absolutely nothing.

Gerald Davis is the best! Opened my pool Memorial Day weekend and the heater didn't work...of course. I was referred to Gerald by Paul Nicastro of Albany Pool Rebuilders (another outstanding contractor) and he came down within a couple of days, quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair.
