Einstein's Plumbing and Heating Inc.

Wish I could say I had a good experience but I didn't. This company's workers are not professional and lack basic communication skills. Making the appointment was fast and easy, they even got back to me the next day I made the email with my issue. Making the appointment and having then send a plumber was easy, I'll give them that. Over the phone, the receptionist had stated they service 'certain' areas. My zip code was one of them that they did serviced and wasn't an issue, I even told them the neighborhood I lived in and still wasn't a problem. The plumber was scheduled to come out the next day between 11 to 2. Next day arrives and around 12 the plumber called, stating what was the issue and he will be over in 15 minutes. In the call, the plumber stated it wasn't a big issue. 15 minutes past and nothing. 5 minutes later, the plumber calls and tell me that he will not do a NYCHA building. I explained that NYCHA no longer takes care of wash issues, that falls on the tenets. Still he refused. Few minutes later and the receptionist calls back and states the same issue. When making the appointment over the phone, there was no issue in which building I lived in. There was no mention if it was a public or private building. If it was such a issue they were making it now, then they would have easily stated it before making an appointment. Not when the plumber is literally outside my building, calling to tell me he will not come and do the job that I requested.

If you live in a public building, stay away from them. Apparently, they will not do the job even when it is our home and all the fixtures fall on the tenants. Which by the way, as tenants we have the right to fix our living environment when the landlord fails or won't to do so. Even when we become private, I don't want anything to do with a company that doesn't have basic communication skills. Thanks for nothing.

Edit 2: To owner; It is always better to assume that a customer doesn't know because we don't know. That is why we go to professionals. You are correct about NYCHA, but if you see on the news one thing is for sure they do not care about their tents. Reason why I had to go outsource to finally get work then. That aside, I understand there are regulations and such because it is a public building and the rules are different, however, your workers even failed to mention they are other plumbers who can do it. They did not offer me that option.

Tom & James resolved a leaking problem that 2 other plumbers couldn't. It gave me peace of mind. Tom was very informative. Explained everything. Extremely knowledgeable. Why can't all plumbers be like Einstein??

This is my 2nd time calling Einstein & Joe has come both times - within a couple of hours [who does that in NYC?!] - and has immediately put my mind at ease with his attentive, thoughtful and thorough approach. I've only had a few smaller issues thus far, but will not hesitate to call for any issues large or small, moving forward.

Change/replace sensor on furnace. Very knowledgeable about event polite, clean, quick, timely and gave expert information, answers to possible things that might go wrong. If you need any Plumber/ Heating problem resolved I definitely recommend Einstein's Plumbing and Heating.

Even though they didn’t complete the job due to other circumstances which is not the company’s fault. They were very quick and responsive when I called the company to come to my home and check my stove. From the time I Placed a service call they where at my home in less than half hour.

Supremely responsive and "the work was beautiful" (quote from someone who came in after work finished to look at it). They replaced a very wonky piping job and a dangerously nonsecure overflow canister. Only drawback is that they are EXPENSIVE.

I had a water leak in my basement and could not get a hold of my regular plumber. A homeowners nightmare. I called Einstein's Plumbing and they came right out on a Saturday night and resolved the problem for me. They were fast, reliable, professional and reasonable. They are now in my address book for plumbers for future reference. I highly recommend them!

Great service! Prompt, well-organized and efficient team all round, from the receptionist to the super friendly and capable on-site guys. Solved our nagging boiler problem and got our heat back on! Would totally call them again!

Once again, Tom was on time, courteous, professional, friendly, efficient. He and my cat are starting to bond. Happy to have gotten such good service.

This team was exceptional--they came and saved me in an emergency and hung around to make sure everything worked out. I will never use another plumber; the absolute best service in New York.
