This plumber served as the plumbing, heating and HVAC contractor when our home was built. They were hired by the builder to do all aspects of the work, including the installation of new appliances. Based upon the issues we have experienced since moving into this new home, we are disappointed in the quality of this company's initial work, their communication and follow up. Most recently, we had to replace a central air conditioning unit. When we first started the unit up, it did not work. After being contacted several times the contractor came to check it and said the unit had not been charged with freon. They charged it and the unit worked, but it was overcooling on and off throughout the 2021 cooling season. The problem continued this year and we again tried contacting the contractor, but their voice mail box was always full and they did not return text messages. Eventually, we started hearing noise from the condenser. Only after many contacts did the contractor call me back, essentially to tell me he was "too busy" to do the repair. Ultimately, we had to bring in a different company to try to repair the unit. They determined that the system had been overcharged with freon which probably led to compressor failure. In the end, we incurred $1750 of parts and labor charge to get the system running again. There were other problems with other installed items. The master bath toilet wasn't set. One leaking bathroom faucet and a leaking under sink drain basket. Our three kitchen appliances were not leveled. The outside faucets did not have inside shutoffs which led to their bursting. As noted, this contractor does not answer his phone, keeps a full voice mail box and rarely if ever returns text messages. Need I say more?

STAY AWAY FROM BILLY DECKER AND DECKERS PLUMBING. I have used Billy Decker for the past 13 years since buying my home. He was always reliable and no issues. I only asked him to do a straight forward cleaning of my boiler. A winter to two ago when it was very cold my furnace stopped working and he came right over and replaced a part and it was all fixed. This last winter he started acting flaky and not responsive when I texted him about the need for flushing my radiators and installing a water filtration system. He just kept putting me off saying he would respond but never did. I was cautious about using him moving forward. I did recently have an issue where a circulator was leaking and I reached out to him and others as well seeing who would call back first. Billy called and came right over. $700 later he leaves. I realize that the pipes he fixed were still leaking and my radiators weren't heating up properly which we had talked about and he said it would be a simple pressurizing of a valve to get it to work if the issue persisted. I immediately notify him of these issues and he says he will come but then never shows up and gives excuses and won't agree to a day/time when he will arrive. 8 days later he still won't agree to come back. I will now have to pay someone else to fix his shotty work. I sent him a text saying how disappointing it is that he is treating a good customer of 13 years like this. I always gave him at $20 tip so he and his worker could have lunch on me. If he treats me this way then he will you too. Plus he is unprofessional by telling me how irritated he is with all his customers and telling me details of customer issues.

We were very displeased with Deckers Plumbing! We have a basement drainage issue and he charged us over $3000 to put in a pipe we probably never needed AND never fixed the problem! He jackhammered our basement floor, changed a pipe and reapplied cemet. The issue continues to happen and when we called to tell him it was still happening he never returned our calls. As far as I am concerned he charged us way over probably what needed to be charged, never fixed our issue and chose not to return our calls and do the right thing! I will never use them again!!!

We were without heat and the company we usually use wasn’t able to come for a week. We contacted Decker on Friday afternoon and they came by the first thing the following morning. They got the heat going and while they were here determined a couple of extra parts were needed. Instead of waiting until Monday, they found the parts needed on a Saturday and were able to complete the job. Their price was fair and we’ll be calling them again on all future repairs needed. We highly recommend them!

They came by and supposedly fixed a drainage issue I was having. They claim to have cleaned the main sewage line. Charged nearly $500. 10 days later I was having backup and drainage issues again. I called them back and they said they would send someone by that afternoon but never heard from them again. I called for 5 days afterwards and they never returned voice mails or called back. Gonna end up taking them to claims court. Very unprofessional services and wish I would have read reviews before hand.

I called Deckers late in the afternoon regarding no hot water after two others couldn’t figure out what to do. They came to assess the same day and gave me the diagnosis with pricing. My hot water tank was replaced within 24 hours and problem solved. I truly appreciate the professionalism that was displayed by the guys and the promptness as well. It was even one of their birthdays.

Roger, Billy we’re sbso awesome guys. They were fair and honest about everything with us. They fixed out plumbing and re-did our bathroom. They were hard working guys and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. We were very happy with their work!

Was referred to Deckers by the company that installed our gas boiler. Mr. Decker was here within the hour. Although initially appeared it would have to be replaced (it was 9yrs old) Bill was persistent in contacting the manufacturer and consulting with other professionals. Ultimately the boiler was repaired and we avoided a VERY costly replacement. Bill followed up on the work personally several days later. I am in the real estate business and deal with various contractors on almost a daily basis. I would highly recommend this service! Very professional and competent!

Chris did an absolutely fabulous job putting in my A/C. Will be calling him if I have any other problems whether heating or plumbing. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

Requested service on 9/3/2020. Called to confirm appointment and responded they would be to my home within the hour. Never showed. Did not call to explain why they didn’t show. I called to inquire about that but was sent to voicemail. Left message but no return call.
