When I submitted a request for an estimate online I received a call back on the same day and a date for the estimator was set for 3 days later (due to the weekend). The estimator made suggestions for a system to meet our wants, needs, and designed to provide adequate heating and cooling for the size of our home. He explained how the systems worked, the energy efficiency, and general installation procedure. To our surprise, they were able to schedule the installation 2 days later. Wagner sent out an individual to do a walk through to see where all the equipment would be going, get an idea of the requirements for the installation. The installers showed up the next day, on time. The installation had its challenges, as it involved removing evaporative coolers on the ground floor and second floor and running the cooler lines through the attic. The installers met the challenges and conquered them. It took two days, but in the end everything was in place, looked good, and works very well.

I am so glad I decided to get serviced by Wagner! I almost tried to do the work myself and we ended running into some problems, but they were so quick to fix it and were super kind the whole time. Was able to get a next day appointment for a shower leak and a garbage disposal install. Showed up on time, friendly, did a great job, and reasonably priced. They gave us different options on how to fix the leak and were very professional.

I contacted Wagner after having another company come by to give me a quote to fix my unit. The previous company added dye and found a leak. Since the cost was in the thousands for repair, I wanted to get a couple of quotes to ensure I pay a fair and reasonable, competitive rate to a company that will provide good service.

The technician with Wagner was very salesy. Which was not what I was looking for. I wanted someone to come take a look at what was wrong and let me know my options and pricing. However, from the start I was told the previous technician could have used a highlighter and not dye to test for a leak and then proceeded to let me know how much it would cost to remove all the refrigerant I had in my system to replace with their refrigerant and their dye to verify that it was in fact the leak and not highlighter which would cost $1,700.

Then the technician asked what the previous company quoted me and said that was too cheap and said the previous wanted to Frankenstein my unit and there is no way wagner would Frankenstein it if they were doing it because if something else broke we would have to replace everything to make it work. He then recommended replacing everything for $13k and another option was $14k. Proceeded to let me know they had financing options.

Then after the supervisor arrived to bring a UV light to help determine if it was highlighter or dye, he came back in and offered a “Frankenstein” option (fixing the broken parts with another brand) after he originally said he would never recommend that or do that and that I should just buy a new unit because if I didn’t I would be in the hole thousands of dollars anyway.

The visit lasted from around 1230 and it was around 4 when he left. He sat in his van for most of the time but it was still a little frustrating because I do work from home and had meetings throughout the day. It almost seemed like he was just killing time more than anything. the actual time he spent looking at the system was only about 30 minutes.

I just immediately got the feeling of not being able to trust this company with the high pressure sales to basically say the previous technician was trying to screw me and pushing for a new unit. As well as the length of time spent in and out of my house but not really spending that time on the work. I felt like this was a very unprofessional service call.

The supervisor, however, seemed to be very professional when he came by and like I said suddenly after he came the story changed to them being able to fix the area that was broken and not having to buy a brand new unit. It most likely is just the technician I had but needless to say I likely will not be calling Wagner back in the future.
If I want high pressure sales I will go to a car lot.

I can not say enough good things about Wagner Mechanical's, attention to detail, integrity and great customer service! The experience from initial call to the outstanding service from the in home tech made my choice for future business an easy one! The HVAC tech tested two 14 year old ac units to ensure they were operating correctly and within temp specs. Both units are functional and the tech made solid suggestions on what items will need replacement in the future. The tech was able to provide immediate pricing options for each recommended service and even provided pricing for replacement of the two units with energy efficient units. Wagner made the entire experience fantastic. If you want great service with fair pricing and techs that super experienced with years of service, I suggest you give Wagner Mechanical a call.

Johnny helped me clear all my sinks and did so in record time and will return to replace old worn out sink stoppers when I pick some new ones. He was very polite and helpful.
