Gold Medal Service - Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing, & Electrical

Tom and his team did a good job replacing my AC and furnace. He knows what he is doing and helped me setup the internet access controlling the thermostat via an app. Worked was very thorough and professionally done.

Eugene, the sales guy did pretty well explaining the different options and also convinced me to take the variable A/C to improve humidity of my home and better efficiency,

I moved to Ramsey one year ago and called Gold Medal Service based on a recommendation from the previous home owner (despite the company having a "new" company name which likely indicates a merger or new owner).

1) They showed up to replace my reverse osmosis filters and I was told that system and my water softener system needed to be fully replaced. I called an alternate company for a 2nd opinion the following day and was advised I still had several years of useful life left.

2) I called a few months later again for my three (3) furnaces to be inspected. The technician found a small leak in one of the three. He immediately suggested we replace that particular furnace along with the other two despite them being only ~10yrs old. I again called an alternate company for a 2nd opinion and they figured out that it was a broken condensate pump ($50 Amazon vs $30k quoted for one of three new furnaces) that was causing the leak. The other two furnaces were deemed to 10+ yrs left of useful life as well.

I don't believe this was a coincidence or a mistake. Be cautious before agreeing to service or signing up for a service package.

Awful service. Very overpriced. Months-long wait for an appointment and then they will repeatedly reschedule the day before. Don’t recommend.

They replaced a 35 years old boiler in the house. Gold Medal is very professional at the jobs they do from sales to installation. They were very helpful and did everything according to plan and met high expectations with all codes and cleanliness. Pablo, James and team were very polite and professional.

Firstly, I’m 100% sure this company is editing the reviews on their page. There is no way they are rated this high. The amount of people I’ve heard being ripped off by Gold Medal is disgusting. They are unprofessional, rude, and not to mention entitled. I would never 1. Hire them to do work for me or 2. Work for them. I have heard horror stories of unfair treatment. Stop supporting a TRASH COMPANY. There are others who have been around way longer than gold medal, who charge realistic numbers and aren’t money hungry.

Gold medal themselves are very easy to schedule with, and short wait times, but they are costly. Something to keep in mind. We went with them simply because of the knowledge provided by their tech Kyle.

Sal C. from Gold Medal service is above standard and would definitely used again. Everything was done in above standard. Had a leaky shower pan pipe inside wall. The cutting of the drywall minimum damage . I would most definitely used Salvatore Cutrona he is one of the best employees! Thank you Gold Medal Service!!

I had to choose between a new system and repairing my old system. Either way I decided I would work with Gold Medal. The final influences on my decision were 1) the time they spent to explain the issues and equipment and 2) their polite and professional demeanor. The price was the first baseline for my decision and theirs was very reasonable.
I was disappointed by other vendors who were either dismissive of my concerns, had ridiculous prices or both. Among the better vendors, Gold Medal presented as the best.
My technician, Ed, was one of the most pleasant repair persons I have ever had in my home.

This company took over EB Design Air, the company we've been working with for years that installed our generator, fireplace and Air conditioning.
we were very happy with them. They serviced both our AC and generator on a yearly basis. When we called Gold Medal to have our yearly AC and generator maintenance we were given an appointment for both. The AC service was performed but much more expensive than it had been with the prior company. The serviceman said he had no idea that the generator was to be serviced as well. We called back and made 3 different appointments. The first 2 times we were called (after the appointment was to begin) and rescheduled. The 3rd time was a no show. The 4th time we made the appointment on line and there was a no show. We called and were routed through several dispatchers and were finally told that the company does not have a license to do generator work in NY! How did they not tell us this the 4 times we called and the one time we made an online appointment. We wasted many hours waiting for them. This is beyond incompetence and carelessness. We were supposed to receive a call back from customer service and that never happened. I would definitely not recommend this company. If I could give zero stars I would.
