Called Gold Medal and they sent Mike the very same day. Mike fixed our issue and explained everything thoroughly. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be as long they keep up the good work.

My first experience was having my HVAC replace by Gold Medal. They came in a reasonable price compared to what I got guoted from other companies. After sitting down
and negotiating the price we explained that I was on a budget and he was able to get us a bit more discount. It all came together and the final result i was very happy. Few months later I found out I needed to replace my water heater. Call a few install including PSEG who by the way gave me a huge quote. Didn't think about Gold Medal until my wife said don't they do that as well. My heart sank after PSEG quote. When the technician came and we sat discussing price I said how boy. After going back and forth and mentioning that I was a returning customer and he did his magic we came to a reasonable price that was well satisfactory and I had it install. Yes they are a excellent company to work with.

Gold Medal Service was excellent. David Durski stopped by the house to check out our current HVAC system. He was knowledgeable and gave us his honest and professional opinion about what we needed for our home. The next day Mike and Rob switched out the system efficiently and within a great time frame. In the end we got a great deal and even better service. Thank you to everyone at Gold Medal!

I’m in the midst of a very disappointing experience with this company. I will do my best to stick to the facts.

I had a new AC system and dehumidifier installed for $15k. Yesterday, it was approximately 90° outside and it was about 75° in my home. This was after running the air conditioning system on full blast all day from eight in the morning. We have had this same issue for weeks and have been in contact with Gold Medal many, many times.

No solution has been proposed. I have called the company maybe 20 times and at no time have I received a telephone call or other correspondence from a manager. Each time I call, I am told that a manager is unavailable and will return my call, but I never receive a call. I will now have to file a dispute with American Express under their fraud and consumer protection policies.

At the time the new system was installed, I was promised that the new system with cool my home “to my comfort”. 75° is not “to my comfort” and it is much hotter than expected for an air conditioned space. Gold Medal has sent multiple technicians to my home, all of whom say that there’s nothing they can do without adding to the system that they installed. There has been no discussion or plan proposed to go ahead with any kind of fix.

I sent another email today to once again ask for a manager or some other person in charge to propose a technical solution that will work. I proposed that they make some change to the system, such as putting in an additional unit, supplementing with a mini split unit, or some other solution that I am not aware of. It is obvious that the current system is inadequate for my home and does not serve the purpose they promised it would.

The Gold Medal paperwork is full of guarantees and warranties. They made verbal representations, there are audio recorded messages on their telephone lines, and statements in the brochures and on the sales invoice all promising 100% satisfaction. So far, that has not panned out.

If this gets resolved, I will happily update my review accordingly.

On the day of the move into a house, we noticed one of the central AC units not working. Gold Medal arrived within a few hours. Kyle immediately diagnosed the problem, addressed it, and even cleaned the unit at issue. Kyle was very knowledgeable and professional; would recommend.

Ramon Ramos, and Nicholas Macfarlane, epitomized professionalism as they had repaired the faulty wiring in my home. Each of these highly capable technicians had been kind and gracious; I am so very glad to have discovered them.

I was very disappointed with the service I received. I was scheduled for a maintenance of my boiler under my yearly maintenance contract. The technician couldn't efficiently troubleshoot and analyze my system, which is admittedly complicated because it includes both baseboard and radiant heat and was not fully labeled.
Additionally, the system needed to be flushed, which should have been done by the previous tech from your company who replaced parts of the boiler months ago.
The tech agreed that I should not be charged for the flushing. But it took him too long to figure out which thermostat controls which part of the system. His troubleshooting initially lead him to change a zone valve, only to realize later that it did not need to be changed, and that, instead, there was some minor faulty wiring. At the end the service, the tech gave me the option to either pay for the troubleshooting time, or pay for changing the valve that did not need to be changed. I reluctantly chose the later. I was charged more than $500 for work that was not required. As a result, I chose not to renew my maintenance contract with your company.
Finally, I should mention that the tech was very courteous and did the best he could at understanding the system, but I should not have been charged for unnecessary work.

The technician (Salvatore) was very professional and did very high quality work. What was originally thought to be a simple toilet repair turned out to be a major plumbing job with a ceiling and several walls needing to be opened up. He also thoroughly cleaned up when done. The general contractor we hired to replace the sheetrock after the plumbing repairs were complete marveled at the quality of work and the minimal amount of damage to the walls. I am a repeat customer of Gold Medal and would definitely use them again.

We just purchased a old house, baseboard radiator heat was not really getting hot despite the boiler running in the basement. To make things worse, one of the radiator water lines burst behind a wall. It was as if we had a faucet installed in the wall. We had a few people down where but most were only interested in selling us on replacing the boiler (9k). Some where not even interested in looking at the problem unless I pressed them and quoted me a lot of money to find where the leak is, I already knew within a 1 foot range of where the leak is so I did not want to pay someone $450 to pump air through the pipes to tell me what I already know. Gold Medal send Sal down here. Sal at least investigated and listened before making a suggesting. He quoted me around 300 something bucks to find it but mentioned that it is worse case scenario because there could be multiple layers of wall and that if he opened it up and it was easy to find, he would lower the price and I could then decide to bundle that price into the repair. I thought that was fair and I appreciate knowing what I am signing up for. He found it right a way and lowered the price for finding it and then gave me a price to fix it. At no point was I hit with a surprise or sticker shock. He fixed the issue and then went around the house like a doctor bleeding the radiators and diagnosing problems. Sal left no stone unturned and took his time to make sure all issues were addressed. Overall we spent close to $700 and were very happy with the service as it was the first time since we moved into the house 3 days earlier that we had heat. Gold Medal is maybe the most high tech plumbing and heating company I have dealt with which makes things very convenient as all your issues are tracked and when you call, they have a case on you which is nice. If I would say one not so great thing is that there is a lot of follow up investigation for future service that when you are not ready for that service yet feels like bother but it is not to a point where I would have removed a star. Our boiler needs to be replaced in the next few years and we will consider Gold Medal but if we have any heating issues in the mean time, we definitely call Gold Medal and ask for Sal, and so should you.

Oh one thing I wanted to add, is that hour house was a mess because we just moved in but Sal never the less religiously put hit booties over his shoes on and off as he had to go to the basement and even though the house was a mess, that was greatly appreciated as we do consider this our home now.

We used the Costco program and Gold Medal was their local contractor. We found we got a much upgraded system for the price we were quoted average systems. The installation was on time and they ended up having to do additional work at no additional cost me because of the costco program.
