A/C broke down overnight and placed an emergency call to Whalen & Ives and they responded with a technician within 1 hour and he was able to diagnose and repair in 1/2 hr. There was no hard sell for services, he did recommend a service contract, however, no pressure and we are completely satisfied with their service and would highly recommmend Whalen and Ives for HVAC service.

We've used Whalen and Ives for 16 years. They are consistently reliable, professional, honest and fair. Also their service is top notch. We wouldn't consider using another provider.

Very good. Had them do an install as well as they are doing maintenance an older system that is a mess as it was pieced together. Used a few others but now will stick with Whalen. Contract is very reasonable and they show up quickly. Neat.

Any one with A/C issues these are the people too call. Everything was done on time and the most professional way. I had both central air units replaced, both compresses and heat exchangers the entire system had to be rewired and duct work. They protected everything in my house including the carpets. So many companies today are not customer orientated these people set a new standard.

Service was excellent. Techs were friendly, knowledgeable and clean. Was like they were never in my house. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. These guys are good!!! I’m tired of dealing with other companies that have no clue what they’re doing and they’re cheaper.

Although the install and boiler operation was fine, a year later I get a call from the city that there was never a permit issued for the job. Seems they went ahead with the work without having a permit in their possession. Lost check explanation, blah blah blah. But now the city is calling me that I have an illegally installed boiler! I gave them a blank check as required made out to the city for them to file. Lost or not, they should have never done the work before a permit was received. We are now selling our house and can not get a CO from the city because of this! We have an UN-inspected boiler!
