It was at times frustrating to work with this company. Communication skills was lacking. If it wasn't for the women in the office, especially Michelle, I would have gone crazy. Work is finally completed and seems to be great. It took from July to November to complete all work to my specs.

This company has been asking me to review them for years and I have hesitated to give them negative reviews but I can say I would not recommend them. They installed a new HVAC system in shore condo just about 6-7 years ago. They promised a full 5 year warranty on parts and labor. I paid a little extra for this compared to other companies but figured the warranty was worth it.
When the unit was 4 1/2 years old the AC would not shut off. Repairman from Pro energy came out and said 1. I needed a new circuit board (major expensive component) and 2. That it was not covered under my warranty.

After much back and forth with company, they agreed to fix the unit under the warranty at no cost and when the repairman came back he replaced a much less expensive part and said it didn’t need a new circuit board after all.

This year I had a different company come out to do a heat maintenance and when the opened the unit they said and showed me that the original installation had been sloppy with loose duct tape not holding parts in place that should have been screwed in or sealed in a different way.

So based on the above I would not recommend this company for future installations.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pro Energy. They were responsive, friendly, efficient and helped our family in an emergency, when I couldn’t even get a call back from several other companies. They will be our go to for all maintenance from now on.

I am very happy that I had my central AC installed through pro Energy solution. They are such a reliable and friendly company to work with. They were very prompt and kept up with their date and time of the installation. Their employees who came to work in our home were very professional and polite. I would recommend this company for all my friends and family. If I need any work in the future, I would take them without any hesitation.

S. Ortiz (Perth Amboy, NJ) - BUYER BEWARE. Unlike other reviews here, my experience with Pro Energy was frustrating and disappointing to say the least. I chose them among 2 other competitive bidders (as I typically do for any of my home projects) and relied on Angi’s sponsorship and reviews on a number of reliable sites. To my dismay, management did not live up to my expectations in terms of customer service and satisfaction in the overall experience with my AC unit replacement project. To sum up, it ended up being a 2-month delay to finally install a working unit. Their crew/tech failed to ensure that all parts were in the box prior to attempting the install so nothing was accomplished the first time around; upon return, their crew failed to test and ensure the unit was in working order and left my tenant with a defective unit in the midst of high summer (they were aware that a very young infant resides in that home); their crew failed to show up for a confirmed appointment without even the courtesy of a call to cancel or reschedule costing my tenant a day’s lost wages; more delay in returning to replace the faulty unit; all of this costing my tenant and I, significant related out of pocket expenses. I was more than patient and understanding and management chose to simply place blame solely on the supplier. I firmly disagreed with their position as the supplier cannot be blamed for their shortcomings, poor quality of service and unreliability on the part of their crew. I gave management an opportunity to extend a reasonable courtesy (discount off the total cost) under the circumstances but management refused to go above and beyond to maintain the business relationship - one that would have led to future referrals. I paid for the project in full upfront and expected that they would handle the situation differently. It was disappointing that adequate consideration was not given even a thought. I will not be referring this nightmare to anyone I care about.
