Cardwell HVAC & Plumbing

We needed a repair for our gas line for dryer, Ryan shows up in time, very professional to talk to, explain everything in detail and gave us a fair price, this is the first time we use cardwell, and I'm glad we did. Definitely will recommended to anyone with plumbing issue

I recently moved into a house that had Cardwell install the central air system several years ago. Inspectors discovered that all the old ductwork that was used for the central air vents is surrounded with friable asbestos. I called Cardwell asking for records about their installation, mainly just so I could give the asbestos remediation guys comprehensive and accurate information about what they were dealing with. Once I told them why I needed it they immediately began acting extremely shady. They told me that they could not provide the records they previously admitted they had because they were "confidential." I told them I knew that was not true. The records were about the house which I now own and that is not how confidentiality works. They insisted that it was. The woman on the phone was extremely guarded. I asked her who told her the information was confidential. She said she could not tell me. I asked if I could speak with this person, she said that I could not. I told her I knew she was lying and she denied it. I even had the former owners call Cardwell to ask for the records. If they were really confidential then the former homeowner who hired them would have the right. She said they never returned any of her calls. So keep in mind, if you hire Cardwell, they will leave friable asbestos in your walls, not tell you about its presence, and then brazenly lie.

Removing asbestos is clearly not their job. But this behavior was beyond the pale. I hope anyone else is careful about hiring them in the future.

Edit: I see the response from Cardwell is encouraging me to call them and claiming they would rectify the problem. I wonder if they believe anyone reading this review would be so gullible as to think it's a negative review because of innocent error instead of willful deceit. There is obviously nothing they can do to rectify that. I know their secretary did not lie to me about confidentiality on her own. Someone told her to. I have obviously sought HVAC services elsewhere and had a thorough asbestos remediation and I've provided information to the previous owners in case they need it after years of exposure to asbestos due to Cardwell's actions.

I had previously used Cardwell for an urgent heating failure that they solved quickly. Given the quality of the prior call, I reached out now regarding a clogged drain that was causing a backup. Again, their staff handled the issue promptly and professionally. I would use them again if needed and would recommend their service to others.

We just had a plumbing emergency and called Cardwell. They were able to get a technician out to use that same day! The technician, Ryan G., was very professional! He listened to my concerns and kept me updated and explained the process all the way through. Completely exceeded my expectations! Hoping to not have another plumbing issue but if we do, I will definitely request to have Ryan come out. Thanks again, Ryan!

My AC broke down today with temperature in the high 80s. I called Cardwell and an hour later a very friendly service person came. He diagnosed and fixed the system. I am very happy!

Cardwell Technician Eric serviced our heater today and replaced a blower. He arrived on time, explained what would be performed and was able to get the part and install same day. All costs were discussed prior to the repair work. Eric was respectful of property and provided useful information with other maintenance items on our heater.

Furnace stopped working, called Cardwell and they came out the same day. Needed a new furnace, sales guy was no pressure and very informative. Very quick installation turnaround and even offered space heaters in the interim. Was very happy with the level of service and professionalism.

Eric was awesome! He identified the problem and explained to me all possible solutions and costs upfront as well as some discounts. Professional, honest, thorough and efficient. My heater is not only working again but working better.

Start to finish, Ryan did a great job! He arrived on time, was professional and efficient and answered all of my questions. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Ryan was able to be here less than an hour after I called. I realize that’s not always going to be possible, but it was awesome in this case! He was friendly and very matter of fact about the issues. He has a very positive personality and both diagnosed the (significant) issue and had it all taken care of in about 3 hours.
