    My AC broke right in the middle of the heat wave, and Devin came right out to give us an estimate for a new unit. He was very knowledgeable and honest. RAC was able to get me on the schedule quickly! Their products are top rated. And I can't say enough about the team! They were very nice, efficient, clean and timely! They all went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I highly recommend RAC for any HVAC needs!

    Had a great experience with RAS. I went to them as they were a highly rated Trane dealer. I was replacing a Trane system that had been very reliable. Ed came out and educated me, quoted me a few different ways until we worked out the right config. I got a new furnace, A/C, whole house air filter, humidifier and new smart wi-fi thermostat. I bid that config to a couple of others and RAS was the lowest bid, plus I felt most conformable with them. Install was quick and clean. We had a couple of technical glitches just related to how I wanted the controls to work on the humidifier and the thermostat which were squared away by their field technician. Any contact with the office gets a quick and helpful response so far. Highly recommend Residential Air Systems.

    I was impressed. I had done research and contacted other contractors. There were a couple others that I think would have done a very good job, but I'm very happy I chose to work with Ed's team.

    Though overall cost was a factor, it wasn't the primary reason for my decision. All my research indicated proper installation was most important. So I was looking for someone who was professional, very knowledgeable, responsive, and provided solutions to my problems. Ed solved my duct work issue, made a separate visit to answer final questions & find the best placement for the furnace's direct vent (to meet code requirements & maintain home's aesthetic), and answered MANY detailed questions thoroughly, giving me confidence in his ability.

    I felt very comfortable with him and he was able to do all aspects of my project. (For ex, some contractors did not install chimney liners themselves)… And he did it all for a very reasonable cost.

    On project day, the team arrived on time & started organizing the workflow immediately. They were respectful of minimizing traffic throughout the house, and left it clean when they left. There were probably 6-10 people there at any time, some arriving intermittently to work on a specialized, smaller part of the job. The work felt well orchestrated. There was a supervising technician on site, but Ed came by to ensure everything was going as planned, answer questions, etc. Everyone worked together well, helping out where needed. There was sufficient communication with me, but they basically worked without interruption.

    I was fortunate to schedule my project before the busy season picked up, so the work was done in 1 day, instead of potentially running into a 2nd day. The operation of the system was explained to me before they left; all the product manuals I needed was placed organized with the unit. Overall this was a very positive experience; I would absolutely work with Ed again.

    During one of the below 0 degree days earlier this winter our furnace would not work. We were provided Residential Air Systems contact information through a friend who had used them before. They came out the same day, assessed the situation and I decided on replacing the 20 year old system. They put me on the list to do an install of the furnace and AC the next day. They came out the next morning with a crew of several guys and we had heat again by that afternoon! Thank you for the quick response and great work!

    RAS recently completed a complicated ductwork correction project in our recently purchased home after the developer had done a poor job with the installation leaving us with no air flow or heat in multiple room. I previously had 4 other HVAC contractors view the project. All had a doom and gloom outlook saying there is not much they can do. Dave the team were fantastic from the very first day to last. Dave had plan of action and executed with success, exceeding my expectations! Nothing was ever too much trouble even though I was asking them a 1,000 questions every day.

    I started to use Ed and residential Air Systems more than 15 years ago. Our central AC system at that time was giving us problems and we were told by another AC company that we needed to buy a new system. That is when we decided to ask for a second opinion and called RAS. Ed came over in person with one of his people and in a day our system was fixed. Not even a mention of needing a replacement! Other jobs followed, since we own a number of properties, and we grew to trust Ed’s company for all our AC and heating needs.     RAS just finished a big, year long HVAC project in our home in Montclair. They installed water heaters, furnaces, hot air coil heating, baseboard heating, a professional grade dehumidifier, and cooling units. We can’t say enough good things about RAS; they’re everything that you’d wish a contractor would be. RAS is professional, well informed, courteous, punctual, responsive, solution oriented, attentive and reliable.     I have been a customer of RAS since 2001. They have installed furnaces and AC units. I have been on service contract the entire time.
    There technicians are skilled neat and prompt. One of the service is prompt ..If he says 8AM ,he means 8 AM.
    This week my 15 year old furnace died. To make matters worse we have company ,my wife is sick and the dog needs to be warm.
    Monday morning ,I call Vicky.she scheduled a service appt. for later that day. Tech shows up and diagnoses the furnace and pronounces it DOA. It is 6PM ,he calls Ed the owner and advises. tuesday morning Vicky calls me and advises Ed will be in touch. He calls me miday and comes over to size up the situation. He recommends a high efficiency unit and suggest direct venting to the outside. My existing vent looked like something out Dr Frankenstiens lab,. Wednesday the tech shows up 8 Am and starts disassembling the old furnace . The other tech shows up with new unit . Tech #1 stayed until 9PM to make sure we had heat. Vicky called my towns building department and explained this was an emergency.
    RAS goes the extra mile to get the job done. they are competitive price wise.
    I would not recommend anyone else

    I have a very old Tudor house and was reluctant to install AC. Ed talked me through the process and we are extremely happy we went with RAS.
