My 24 old boiler kicked the bucket right before Christmas. I got 3 estimates… both other companies couldn’t install for 2 to 3 weeks. I got Sanford’s estimate on a Tuesday and they were able to install that Friday, on 12/23. The team was great, and finished the install early. We had heat for Christmas and I can’t thank them enough. I’d recommend them without hesitation.

Derek provided excellent service. He provided options in response to our inquiries and explained things that were easy to understand.
He installed a humidifier system on our furnace, explained how it work and made sure everything was in working order.

I used Sanford to install a new boiler in my home. The boiler that was there was original and in dire need of replacement Kyle was on the team that did the install, along with Rick and Jared.

I was super impressed by both the knowledge and organization of the team. This is a job that took the better part of the day and the end result was awesome. Not only is the boiler new and improved, but the installation very clean and well thought out. I’m very happy with both the job done by the team and Kyle’s willingness to answer any questions I had.

I would highly recommend Sanford, and this particular team, in a heartbeat!

We use liquid propane for heat at our location. I called Sanford 3 weeks ago and asked if they provide service to fill up our tanks. I was informed by the rep they do indeed deliver liquid propane but they must do a safety inspection of our system first which is completely understandable. The day before my scheduled appointment I got a call from the same rep telling me Sanford DOES NOT provide liquid propane. The recommendation I was given was to call my liquid propane provider for delivery. I don’t have a liquid propane provider, that’s why I called Sanford and asked. Why couldn’t they just tell me that three weeks ago!? Now it’s the end of December and I’m stuck with low tanks while I search for someone to provide heat to our house. Very annoyed and unimpressed.

Our generator fried our furnace induction motor. Brett came out, diagnosed the issue correctly, got the part quickly and installed it correctly. He was very pleasant and bright. He also passed the “Tobie test” like no one else has (ask him what that is). On that alone he deserves 10 stars.

Sanford installed a Carrier Dual Fuel Heat Pump (oil hotwater forced air and heat pump.) so we could reduce our oil use and get ready for installing a solar system. It was not inexpensive, but it was well worth what we spent. Zack spec'd the system and explained it all to us. We did get two other quotes, but the reviews, Carrier and service convinced us this was the way to go. The install crew was on time and professional. We had a noisy humidifier valve and there was NO problem in havng it replaced. Business the way it should be. Thanks to all, especialy Zack.

I gave this company a two and not a one because they were friendly and prompt, but value wise, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this overcharged by a business in my life. Thought I needed a new thermostat, requested that they bring a programmable one. I had already purchased a $25 one online, but was unsure if it would work with my system. I was told there’d be a $120 fee to come out- fine, I get it, they all have that. The tech gets there and is unsure if it’s my thermostat or something else. Says the new thermostat is $583!!! I told him that was really expensive, and I was unsure, said I already had one but my husband just didn’t know how to install it. Tech says it could be installed, you just need to know how, but instead of saying we could pay to have him do it, he tells me he could just leave and my husband can install the one I bought if I don’t want the $583 one, which would mean I would’ve payed $120 for a person to tell me they have an expensive thermostat I can buy.

So I decide it must be a really nice, expensive thermostat (he told me they have to make their money somewhere when I said it was really expensive) and bite the bullet. He installs it. Heat still doesn’t work. He flushed the lines. Heat seems to work, he leaves. I wake up in the morning, and the heat is still not working; obv not the new thermostat. Just for giggles I check the price of this thermostat online- $83. I was up charged $500!!!! I understand an up charge and service fee, but $500??? I cried thinking about how much money I spent on something I probably could’ve learned to install myself by watching YouTube! I’m mostly mad at myself for not checking before I said yes, but also upset that this company would take advantage of people in that way. I already paid the $120 for diagnostics and whatever other tacked on cost. Some people in the US can barely afford to feed themselves right now- how could anyone feel good about doing that to working people? Not to mention the problem isn’t even fixed and I’m sure I’d need to pay them more to come back out!

My advice- if you have money to burn and like quick service, this is your place. If you’re on a budget, find a small, local business who understands appropriate cost for a job.

Kyle and Jared did a great job installing my new heating system (boiler, indirect hot water heater, and rdiant flooring hook up). They were courteous, professional, and most of all meticulous. I appreciate good craftsmanship and they delivered. I'd recommend thes guys and Sanford for sure. Their ratings were great and now I know why. Thanks Guys!
