The technician was prompt and pleasant, also seemed very knowledgeable during his visit.👍 I had another unrelated problem with my furnace and had to have them come for another visit. This time the tech stayed longer until it was fixed. I was pleasantly surprised when he said " there was no charge" Happy Holidays to all..... thank you Bill & Mathew🎄⛄🧑‍🎄
I thought that I posted a review, but I think that I forgot to and they were so GREAT I didn't want to miss an opportunity to let you know how FANTASTIC and AMAZING they are! Cavallero installed our Central AC. About 3 years later we had an issue. I forgot who did the install. So I called another HVAC and they quoted nearly $2500 in repairs. I tracked down Cavallero who came out, took ownership and immediate responsibility and made the repairs without charging me. That's a TOTAL PROFESSIONAL contractor there! Few and far between! I'd use Cavallero all day long and twice on Sunday going forward! The VERY BEST!!!
We are a new homeowner. Cavallero installed our AC and furnace. We called the Carson City office to ask for the serial numbers for the units, so we wouldn't need to climb into the attic, for the two furnace #s. We were told by the admin that, "our technicians perform so many installs that we do not track the serial numbers, the technology isn't available to record and track that many serial numbers".
In addition, there is a locking refrigerant cap that other maintenance techs do not have a key for on our AC unit. We have been told we may purchase a key for a couple hundred dollars, but that Cavallero doesn't provide key's "to the public". I'm sorry but are we still considered public when this is a private residential unit? Can someone then come remove the locking cap so we can have that coolant line serviced?
EDIT: The owner responded to this complaint promptly and will provide the serial numbers and point us in the direction of a cheap key for unlocking our refrigerant line, if needed.
Payed the fee for them to look at the AC and diagnose an already established problem. We were looking for quotes. This company installed the AC in the first place when the house was built 5 years ago. The end of the AC drain line is inaccessible. Lucky for us something happened in that line and it would no longer drain the condensate so the water began backing up in the AC tray. Was told I would be getting a call for a quote. Never did. So I called them. The first lady passed my info the manager. Said they were busy. No big deal. Never called back. So I call again. The next lady tells me well we don’t do that so that’s probably why he didn’t call you back. Wow fabulous way to run a business. They had already come to my house. I payed the stupid service fee. Was told at my house what the plans for the new line would be. Why wouldn’t you call me back? I find it funny that you guys say that’s not your job and refer me to a plumber but the 2 other AC companies I called will. Not to mention the plumbing companies say that they do not do that. 100% would not recommend. There are other companies in Carson that are much more helpful and will call you back.
Cavallero has done several jobs for us and they always do excellent work at a great price. Steve, Nate, and Alex do great work, are really easy to have working in your home, and are very knowledgeable. Pat and everyone in the office are very helpful as well. Highly recommend!
Two very good visits with them. The technicians are experienced and communicate clearly what is going on with hvac system. Office staff good to work with also. On time and as promised!
Horrible customer service and even worse repairs. They do NOT do anything in a timely manner. They do NOT test your heating system, they only replace what part they believe isn't working. They absolutely do NOT live up to their warranty. We had our dead furnace "repaired" a few months ago and it's dead again - same exact issue (runs forever but never blows heat). Now here we sit, again, waiting hours just to receive a call back to estimate the time of arrival. Save yourself and your stress!! Use another company. 12 hour wait with 14" of snow and we're freezing inside or home AGAIN!! Boycott Cavallero! At the bottom of this review list is a number to call Sue with any issues. I just tried that and was treated with such astounding disrespect that I'm stunned. Apparently Sue needs to answer her phone, because the woman I spoke with was just as the other reviewer described...RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! BOYCOTT CAVALLERO!!!! Save yourself!
I called another company prior to them and after 3 hours they couldn't figure out my AC issue. I called Cavalero and they diagnosed it in like 10 minutes. Super helpful and friendly. I will use them for all of my HVAC issues going forward.
We purchased a house through DRHORTON back in 2015. Four years later our heater and air conditioning unit stopped working. We called DRHORTON and was referred to Careers. Careers customer service referred us to Sierra Air, Inc. Their technician came to inspect the unit and wrote a report: that Cavallero tech failed to installed the plenum temperature sensor and because of it when we turned on the unit the blower’s flame bounces and rolls out of burner and the bottom burner is visibly charred. We then called DRHorton panicking and was so worried that our house is leaking CO2. They sent their District Manager and Cavallero’s technician. When they were explaining to me their they both were not very concerned and very dismissive and acted like it was nothing to worry about. The DRHorton’s rep told me that because Careers unit has few safety features our house is not going to blow up. I looked at him and told him. Well I guess thank God for that but that did not explain or give t you and Cavallero an excuse for your negligence. How in the world DRHorton Quality Control Inspector managed to overlook the mistake? DRHorton’s rep avoid to answer me. Cavallero’s tech spent over an hour i my house fixing the unit. I asked him so you saw the bag with the sensor in it right? And he just looked at me. I get it they are not answering my questions to protect them from any lawsuits. But Cavallero and DRhorton refused to accept faults and would not refund us the $201.00 that we had to pay Sierra Air, Inc to come in and inspect the unit who was referred to us by Careers. Also, since there’s already a defect on the furnace we asked both companies’ reps to install a brand new furnace so it will protect us from issues to occur in later months or years. We called the DRHorton’s higher ups to give them a chance to fixed the problem. We are in waiting game right now..
