Our business relies on Capital Heating & Air for all of our HVAC issues. They usually can help us within the same day & have always done great work & their techs are courteous & knowledgeable.

Since zero star option is not available, I am generously giving them one star. I had a house under contract and our whole house inspector said that the HVAC seems to work ok. However, he recommended us to have it inspected by a professional. I know no one so I asked our realtor for help. She made an appointment with Capitol Heating & Airconditioning (CHA). I told both CHA & my realtor that I want to be present at the time of inspection. They said they will come to check the HVAC in the afternoon of 07/27/2017. However, they could not give me a specific time. They said they would call me when they were heading out. I waited, waited, and waited but heard nothing. I drove to the house at 4 PM and found out that they stopped by and "inspected the HVAC" at around 2 PM. My realtor said she called them twice that morning saying that I wanted to be there at the time of service. How could they forget to call me or my realtor? Did they just try to avoid my presence so they could "inspect" the HVAC quickly.

That evening I received an invoice ($100) with a few words "Inspected 14-year old Bryant furnace and air conditioner and found the combustion analysis at 24ppm, which is considered a safe and acceptable level. Both units are in good operating condition; no repairs are needed." They call it an inspection report. I was shocked with how lack of detail their report is. The only parameter in the report was 24 ppm which I believe was the concentration of carbon monoxide. What other parameters did they measure (if any) to come to their conclusions? What is their definition of "good"? This report was not evidence-based at all. I emailed them back asking for a detail inspection report and they just kept silent. I am sure they are not going to answer my email because they have no detail to show me. Very disappointed with the way they work :(

I had a radon problem that did not respond the the conventional remedy (cold air returns below the basement slab and a below slab ventilation fan was not helpful) Working with my radon mitigation company, AtoZ Radon, Tom from Capitol devised a solution that was effective, relatively easy, and done very promptly. Our radon levels dropped immediately and we could not be happier. Top notch and highly recommended.

Wonderful company to work with. Very professional and helpful. Our new air conditioner works great, is quiet and has solid metal on the outside which should protect it better in our NE hailstorms.

GET ANOTHER OPINION if they've inspected your furnace. Selling my house and their report literally said just that it was "bad"... No details, no justification for their recommendation to replace. Got a 2nd opinion from EMIT. He did specific diagnostic tests for carbon monoxide and moisture, and provided a detailed report on his findings.... which, needless to say, he found only that the thermocoupler needed to be replaced and the unit needed to be cleaned. His estimate was $125. Replacing the entire unit as Capitol said NEEDED to be done, is between $4,000-$6,000...

This company was hired for us through our home Warrenty company. When they first came out the guy fixed the AC, but it had a loud sound that echoed through the house. I called them and told them about it. He asked me if it could wait until the next day. I said yes. The next day came and I never heard anything. I then called them and told them what was going on. The guy then asked if we could wait until Monday. I told them no. It was hard for my son to get to sleep because it was so loud. He then said okay. He came out a couple hours later and fixed it. Then a few weeks later the AC was set at 72 and it was 78 in the house for three days in a row. I called the company back and told them. A different guy came out and took off the screen that was on the outside of the AC and then cleaned something. Everything seems to be working fine now. The home Warrenty company told me that since it was a repeat request we only had one $75 deductible to pay. Capital keeps sending me bills in the mail and email. I called the Warrenty company back. They said they already talked to them and we don't owe anything. I then got another email today with a bill. It's really annoying and it worries me. I always pay my bills, but this isn't a bill I should have to pay.

They replaced our furnace and air conditioner almost 10 years ago now.
We have them do the yearly maintenance and it is still working great.
