Glad to have Matt back. He is punctual, thorough, friendly, respectful, and trustworthy. Serviced our a/c for summer, added freon, and advised me of a leak. We discussed options about replacing our 20-year old system. He looked up our history, answered all my questions about better efficiency and new technology. Before he drove away he had arranged for me to receive estimates today of all the options we discussed. Great service.

Luke, the technician came on time and was very polite and friendly. He has service our furnace in the past and it's been awesome. I mentioned to him after he got to the house that a neighbor's furnace would not start and he agreed to go and look at it after he was done with mine. He found their problem through good deductive reasoning and testing and fixed it. Simple and straightforward. And it didn't cost them much either. A really good guy working for a really good company.

I had a number of things done by SmartHouse. George did the attic insulation, repaired the bathroom exhaust fan and built a wall around the whole house attic fan. Luke Sanders installed a new programmable thermostat. Then Luke and Frank Wolf did a thorough maintenance check of the furnace and air conditioning systems.

All three of these men arrived promptly, were courtious and friendly. They took the time to answer any questions I had. AND very important to me, being a single woman, I felt very comfortable dealing with these men.

Also, Tim Renz the representative for SmartHouse is the nicest person also. It was because of him I decided to hire SmartHouse and it has been a very good decision.

This is our first time using SmartHouse to service our HVAC system. Luke was very professional and courteous. He explained the services performed and offered useful suggestions. We will definitely use them again. Great Service!

We hired SmartHouse to install a second, new, HVAC system for a 3rd floor remodel. To summarize the remainder of this long review, we had trouble with other contractors in the past, but the folks at SmartHouse were detail oriented, technically skilled, and carefully resolved our HVAC issues. We highly recommend them.

We initially worked with a different HVAC contractor to install our main system on the 1st and 2nd floors. That system caused significant condensation problems which took many visits and over four months to resolve with the first contractor. In order to avoid these problems with our new 3rd floor system, and specifically to avoid oversizing the system, we first contacted an independent consultant at Energy Vanguard to carefully determine the needs of our 3rd floor heating and cooling. They took a significant amount of information about the house (dimensions, insulation, construction materials, window sizesand direction, etc) and used that information to make a Manual J calculation. This gave us a 3rd party, independent assessment of the real needs for our system.

Ultimately, we chose SmartHouse for the install for multiple reasons. They were professional, understood our concerns about correct sizing of the system, and were completely on board with sizing a system based on precise Manual J calculation. They had even worked with Energy Vanguard in the past, and made intelligent suggestions on how to make slight adjustments to the specifications to ensure the correctly sized system. Marc Bluestone, our contact, also made great suggestions, including a creative location for the return system, which significantly simplified our system layout and improved airflow. So far, about one month into it, we are thrilled with the system.

I would like to specifically contrast SmartHouse with the other contractors we worked with, interviewed, or received quotes from. The folks at SmartHouse are technically inclined, and willing to look at complicated details in order to get things right. The other contractors we met with wouldn't even take to the time to do a Manual J, instead insisting on using inaccurate rules of thumb and ignoring or disregarding the calculations from our consultants. For example, other contractors insisted on a 3 ton or even 4 ton cooling system, despite the calculations calling for less than a 2 ton system. For us, working very hard to get this system right, a truly technically competent HVAC company made all of the difference. In addition, if we had contacted SmartHouse first, we could have saved the costs of the consultant, as they would have done the calculations properly and as part of the system price.

Luke Sanders has been to our house numerous times to service our Heat and AC systems. He is extremely thorough and does not leave until problems are resolved. Other technicians have also been very attentive and we have been very satisfied with the service we recieve.

Ryan, Luke and Stephanie were wonderful to work with. Friendly, professional, and honest and upfront about the work and cost to repair the air handler on our zoned cooling system.
Ryan came out and diagnosed our system on a Sunday but couldn't get the parts to fix it.
Stephanie called early Monday to order the part and schedule a repair that afternoon.
Luke arrived a little later than scheduled. Having worked in home repair, I know some jobs contain hidden obstacles and can put you behind quickly, so no big deal. Luke was done repairing the air handler within 30 minutes of arriving, he even checked out the outdoor unit to make sure it was functioning correctly.
All in all a very good experience with SmartHouse, will recommend to anyone needing HVAC work done.

Our tenant complained that the furnace wasn't working properly. We examined it ourselves and couldn't find a problem so we called SmartHouse to come out and clean the system and evaluate it. Their technician found that the high limit switch was defective and replaced it. Cost was reasonable. Technician was knowledgeable and friendly.

Marc and his team at Smarthouse are absolutely committed to customer service and will never consider an instillation complete until such time as the customer is fully satisfied! Prior to committing to an entirely new HVAC system, Marc completed a compressive review of my residence, including but not limited to: the existing equipment, square footage of residence, the structural design of the vents and ducts( necessary in determining the capabilities of the same) all in an effort to determine my heating and cooling needs. Subsequently, Marc prepared a detailed bid based upon his findings and presented multiple HVAC options at various price points. Marc took the time to explain in great detail the pros and cons of each option and recommended what he felt best fit my desired price point and performance requirements. Ultimately, and after thorough input from Marc and his team and further based upon my own due diligence I chose Daikin for its impressive and unique combination of performance, technology and aesthetics. If you are in the market for a new HVAC system, Smarthouse is the GOLD STANDARD!!!!
