I had used Kappa for years, but recently found that they had been acquired by Swiss Air, so I had them come out to fix my blower motor. I was very happy that they came out the same day I called, and the technician seemed to be a nice enough guy. Had no problem with the $95 service call charge, but when I was informed that they wanted $300 (in addition to the service call fee) for a 7.5uF motor start capacitor (an item that you can easily get for $10-$20) I was miffed to say the least. When I called the office to complain, they reduced the part price to $179 (still in addition to the service call fee). They got my money this time but don't let them get yours.
