The technician was very friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the necessary replacement parts with him and had the furnace running again quickly.

Due to two storm surges/lightening strikes this past summer, we have had to repair our aging air conditioner twice. ROBERT has been our serviceman and has been out several times for diagnostic and repair. I value someone who has good customer service skills, doesn't hard-sell, and educates me on maintenance and choices for replacement/repair while keeping my budget in mind. Robert exceeded my expectations in a service person. While our 19 yr old unit will need replacing soon, he, along with prior A & D service people we've had out for repairs and maintenance, has kept it working safely and efficiently. And bonus-- person who takes the calls, Kathy, was also very helpful and courteous!

We own a business and have a few rentals and have had numerous occasions to use A&D's services at our home as well as at our other properties. Terrible service and customer service. I called to make an appointment after receiving a “reminder card” that I was due for service. I’m not going to lie, I couldn’t remember the company name from whom we had previously received service and contracted with, and took the “reminder card” to be a reminder that this was the company. When I called, I noted that I had received the reminder and was due for service under the contract. From the response I received on the phone, it seemed that the information had been verified and that I did have service through them. The service person came out, and according to my husband, tromped through our house in his muddy shoes, took a 5 minute look around in our basement (we have units in the basement and the attic), and replaced the filter (a chore I do monthly anyway). Then, he asked for payment and my husband explained that we were under a service contract. The service man said to “he’d take it up with billing” and left. I should’ve have disputed the bill that day, but was very pregnant and forgot about it until the paper bill was received a few weeks later. I should have known better and provided a written dispute of the bill, but will play the pregnancy card again. When they called to get payment, I explained that I wanted to disputed the bill, and was told very abruptly that it was going to be sent to collections. I decided it wasn’t worth fighting for the $85 and called back to pay, but I feel extremely cheated. The person could have asked why I wanted to dispute it and try to resolve it, but that’s not how they seem to do business. I have only written 1 other review on here (a 5-star one), but felt very compelled to let people know that I felt like this was a very shady way to do business.

On a bright note, the company that I had actually contracted through (Ideal Heating and Cooling) called me a little after the other appointment to make their fall maintenance trip, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. They confirmed everything by text, wore shoe protectors, checked both the unit in the basement and the attic unit, and followed up with a phone call to see if there was anything else we needed and make sure we were happy with their service. They are an example of how business should be done!

I was gathering a few estimates last year to replace my 30 year old A/C unit. I had a company from Liberty and Grandview drive out to Greenwood, check my existing system to ensure it was adequately sized for my house and give me estimates. I found A&D's website on a Sunday and filled out their service request/contact form on their site and two business days later, still no call. I called them and asked for an estimate and the guy on the phone asks me for the size of my existing condenser and the square footage of my house (I knew both) and he gave me an estimate over the phone....to me, this was just plain lazy as I live within a mile of their shop. They lost my business for failing to contact me and for not providing me the courteous of a visual inspection of my existing system with the estimate.
