Chris came out after hours to my tenant’s apartment and diagnosed the problem with the furnace. The charge for the visit was explained to me ahead of time. Chris got the furnace working again and explained what part malfunctioned and why it should be replaced in a way that I could understand. He told me what the charge would be for the new part including installation and it was a very reasonable price. I will definitely be calling Vogel again for any HVAC issues.

I would highly recommend Vogel Heating & Cooling for maintenance or repair on your A/C or furnace. I had Mike Perry and Ted Treece repair my leaking condo air conditioner which is located overhead in my laundry closet. It was very difficult to access and they had only a positive attitude from the moment they entered the door. They were there to make sure that the unit was fixed and that I was happy. I appreciate their great service.

My AC went out. A technician concluded, after checking out my unit for about 10 minutes, that the compressor is done. I was advised that unfortunately my unit is not under warranty anymore, so I should replace the entire AC unit, and possibly the evaporator coil inside the house as well. He then set up a meeting with a sales rep. for me to see what I would need to purchase. Don't get me wrong, the technician was nice and seemed knowledgeble, but I just didn't have a good feeling about this diagnoses, so I called another company for a second opinion.

First of all, without telling the technician that another company has already been out to look at my AC, he asked me right away if someone's been out already because they didn't put my unit back correctly. After looking at my unit for about 15-20 minutes, he decided to try and change my capacitor first to see and go from there if not. Well, problem fixed!!! My AC is now cool as can be.

I'm giving Vogel Heating and Cooling 1 star simply because the phone operators were always pleasant and helpful. Other than that, I would rate them zero star if I could. I ended up paying Vogel $119 for the technician to come out for absolutely nothing. Also, the second company that fixed my AC charged a lot less to come out than Vogel as well.

our Vogel team (dennis and ted, with consultation by tim) arrived when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves every day, finished the job on time, and dealt well with unforeseen problems in our 100 year old house. They answered all our questions so we could understand what would be happening. Vogel isn't always the lowest price but they are always competitive, and their dependability and professionalism is worth any difference. we recommend them to anyone who asks. oh, and our new a/c systems are working great!

Joe S. was extremely helpful in servicing our furnace. He was very thorough with his work, making sure he checked everything before deciding what was wrong with it. He explained what was wrong to me in ways that I understood and was certain to make sure he answered all my questions before leaving. Jessi worked super hard to figure out what our furnace's problem was. He was nice, patient, explained things thoroughly, called other co-workers to see what their ideas were, worked on it for a long time and our furnace is now working fine. Sandy the customer service rep has always been very pleasant also. If you have to go through the pain and heartache of paying to get your furnace fixed, this company makes it a little more bearable!

When our home was due for a new furnace and central air unit, I compared Vogel, Hoffmann & Scott-Lee as well as the manufacturers they sell on many categories and tracked everything in a spreadsheet.

Scott Lee failed or refused to answer many of the questions so that left Hoffmann and Vogel to compare. Both companies were comparable but Vogel had the lowest trip charge, lowest weekend and evening service fees, no BBB complaints, higher Angies list ratings, higher Google ratings and their technicians are members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36.

My research also found that most of their products are made in Marshalltown, Iowa (except the Merit series) by Union Machinists and the system I chose had higher BTU ratings, better heat exchanger material, better warranties on the compressor, condensing unit, and coil, better dealer discounts, better net costs and they included everything I asked for in writing.

The installation was performed by two technicians on site with another technician making the plenum and return duct back at their shop. The overall installation was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better job.

I have had a few seasonal checkups and a recent service call for a bad pressure switch. Each service technician was extremely knowledgeable, professional, thorough and on the recent service call, the unit was up in running in no time.

The bottom line is that the technicians are awesome and Sandi in the office is great to work with when scheduling appointments.
