They are very knowledgeable! Very kind. They made sure our home got exactly what we needed! They quoted us a price and that's exactly what we were charged. They came out looked at the furnace gave us the best option and had it installed the next day. The man who installed the system had years of experience! I appreciate the work they did. They actually came highly recommended to us!

Dealing with this business was a pleasure. Today is going to be one of our hottest days, and our technician, Mark, arrived at our home within 2 hours. The a/c was back up and running within 3 hours of our first contact. With two small children in the house, they were truly a Godsend. Mark did an excellent job! Thank you!

Colvin’s Heating and cooking has been around for a while, but is under new management and they haven’t skipped a beat. I turned our AC on last Sunday to find out it was blowing nice HOT air. I called on Sunday and got an answer and an appointment in less than 5 minutes!
Monday morning, they showed up on time and got to work. After exhausting all the options, and ordering a part from Chicago, they had to deliver the untimely news to us. THEY WERE HERE THE NEXT DAY to install a new furnace and AC. Not only are they very professional, but they’re also very clean and super nice. They turned a two day job into a one day job and set up the follow up appointment to make things “look pretty” and explain the rest.

No one wants to replace these things but they made this process as painless as possible! They were honest from the jump and knowledgeable and I won’t go anywhere else (although, I do hope we don’t have to make that call for another 20 years). Thank you!

Quick and friendly! Furnace went out overnight so I called colvins, service guy was at the house within 15 minutes and had us producing heat again within an hour.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Mr. Colvin came to our rental property to find out why our AC was not working. He looked, just looked, at the unit on the outside of the house and said that the motor was not working and disconnected it. Additionally, he said the unit seemed older than 18 years (when the home was built), but could not find an install date. He said it would be about $600 to fix it, but also that the unit was beyond its' life expectancy of 15 years and would need to be replaced soon. I took a quote for the replacement and then called another provider for a second opinion.

The second provider came out two days later and took the back off the unit, which means he did more than just look at it. He found the install date inside the door and discovered the start capacitor was malfunctioning. He replaced the part and our air conditioner came back to life. Amazing! Sure, the motor may need replaced soon or we may just opt for a new unit to lower the utility costs, but we only spent $40 and now have a working AC in the home.

When Mr. Colvin was called to inquire as to why he did not open the unit, his response was that it was going to need replaced and the capicitor and/or motor was only a temporary fix, so he was saving a step. He was also banking on us just taking his word for it and handing over an additional $560 or much more if we skipped replacing the motor and just bought a new unit. The thing he didn't take into account was that we would get a second opinion.

Shame on you Mr. Colvin. You will never have my family's business again and hopefully people who read this will think twice about trusting your judgement.

Colvin's replaced my old HVAC unit and worked with us to set up the duct work so it would fit with our new floor plan. They also helped with applying for our rebates from our utility companies! ...and always patient with my multiple questions about the whole process.
