Muse Heating & Air Conditioning

Muse Heat and Air replaced my 27 year old heat and air system that had come to the end of its useful life. They are quick, thorough, knowledgeable and very professional. Also very reasonable. I got a great system at a great price. I will use them for all my future HVAC needs.

I trusted this company to to diagnose a AC unit that was giving us problems. It was a 2 ton unit that came with the home we purchased brand new. They sent their lead tech out and we were told we needed a new unit, the old one was undersized, we purchased a new 3 ton Trane unit at around $5k. This was several years ago. We’ve had nothing but problems out of this new unit, even had Muse come out out and “fix” it - part under warranty but charged for labor each time even with a service plan. Finally got the unit fixed as best as it can without another one using another company. The original install left the unit off of the mounting base - half of the unit was sitting on nothing and the whole thing was leaning over and crushing the drip pan. The compressor pan was completely cracked all the way through to the bottom letting water leak through to the floor from it leaning. It wasn’t sealed properly. The new 3 ton unit was still vented to only be able to move 2 tons of air so it had 1 whole extra ton of air trapped in the unit that it couldn’t move so that’s why it kept freezing up every year and we had to keep calling them out to come work on it. We are lucky it didn’t destroy the unit completely and/or fall through the ceiling from water damage. I would not recommend Muse for HVAC repair. The guys that finally fixed our AC right was B&L Heating & Air - I would highly recommend them, they are great.

I've been using Muse Heating & Air Conditioning for 16 years now, they installed an HVAC system in my previous home, and did annual preventive maintenance there. When I moved, they continued to do annual preventive maintenance for my new home, and have found problems when they were small so they didn't become huge & expensive.

I can not express the magnitude of gratitude I have for Muse Heating and air. I called Aire-Serv, Joyner Heating and Air, and the company my "home warranty" sent out. None could provide any answer or possible solution to our issues. For 2 years my family suffered and Muse was the ONLY one that took the time to really get to the bottom of our heat and air problems. David and his crew, they didn't settle until they knew exactly what was causing my babies room to heat up to dangerous temperatures. With his door shut his room would reach Temps of 80+ degrees while the rest of the home and thermostat was 70 degrees. They stayed at my home for several hours evaluating the temps in my child's rooms and eventually hit the nail on the head and have remedied the problem. The tech and service men were extremely polite. No cussing (unlike the other companies) didn't rush to get out (unlike the other companies), and walked me through each thing they did and why and made sure I understood everything! Highly, highly recommend.

Not a good experience. Unit was leaking freon and the guy gave a bunch of options. I chose the most affordable, to replace freon and spent 800 only to have the unit not working again the next day. They shouldnt have suggested to replace freon when there was a leak, knowing that it might be a waste of my money. I ended up using a different company to replace the whole unit.

Very good experience with Muse. Charles, the repair man worked tirelessly on my older heating system and never gave up on it this company really seems to care about their customer. I rate them with 10 stars.

Our mother board for our heater went out. They charged us $700 + to get a new one installed!
Then he told us our ducting was blowing “smoke” and asked if we wanted to keep throwing money at a 13 year furnace or did we want a new one for $6k!
My husband quickly called a friend who is in the same business and told us we got robbed on our service charge! Mother boards can be bought for $79!!!
The fact he went back up to the attic after he was done with the job and suddenly there was “smoke” coming out of my vents is very suspicious! It smelled like old dust and mist, not smoke.
How is it we went from $700 to $6k is robbery.
Needless to say we WILL NOT be using this company again!! $700 is a lot for us, and the fact these guys work on commission and use these false tactics is like a dirty mechanic or salesman!!
We are furious!
