Expert Heating & Cooling

We had a really great experience with Expert. We are in Grosse Pointe Farms. They were extremely professional, on time, clean, and explained everything they were doing so well. They walked through all our options with us and worked out all the financing options. Their last day working they had to late and they were still so friendly and pleasant. They hooked up our new thermostat and the house was kept very clean. I highly recommend giving them a call!!

Expert Heating & Cooling was recommended by a colleague after our home was struck by lightning that took out the furnace, AC and hot water heater. Nick came quickly to give us a quote then Bill, Caitlyn and Marion were able to install the units in a very timely fashion. Competent testing and certification was performed in confirming the furnace heat exchanger was not emitting carbon monoxide. The serviceperson was on time, efficient, knowledgeable, and quite personable. It was evident the serviceperson took great pride in his workmanship in his methodical approach to the task. This contractor has made an indelible impression and will be the contractor of choice should service be needed in the future, and will be highly recommended as well.

Amazing company, has been a pleasure to work with in a stressful time. Bill Patrick was absolutely the best my husband and I could ask for to help us with questions and concerns. I explained before the service call that I needed a flame rod kit and igniter for our tankless hot water heater. Needless to say the service tech had neither on hand and had to pay for a service call to diagnose I needed a flame rod kit and igniter. Next, I was informed that it would be 1-2 weeks to get the parts to install. I called the manufacturer myself and was able to get the parts next day! Maybe Expert doesn't understand what it's like to be without a hot water for 2 weeks!?! Lastly, I was told it would cost $600+ to install a part that is assembled with 2 screws (10 min. max)! Parts cost me a total of $49.69! Total lack of urgency and unfair value for "Expert" labor!!

Waited a few weeks to post this to make sure all was well and gosh darn it the work is good. After getting a ridiculous quote from a competitor for a complete HVAC replacement I found expert via Facebook and google reviews. Salesman Jake was knowledgeable and very matter of fact. Pricing was good and Jake said good expectations on install.

Install was seamless. Mike & Gino did a clean install. No issues since install and the new system works so much better.

This type of expense is never fun but I do feel good about my purchase.

Shout out to the Expert team for the great service! Called and had an appointment set up write away to fix my A/C through Alyssa and their tech, Dave, got the job done with ease. Excellent service and would recommend them to anyone!

Called for service at my mother-in-laws house, heat was not turning on. Ryan called us back promptly and advised it would be several hours as they were very busy. He kept in touch and when he arrived, he was very nice and professional. He fixed the problem and made sure the area was clean and the furnace was working. Ryan was great and I would recommend Expert to anyone.

My newish AC unit (NOT bought from or installed by Expert) never felt very strong and had trouble keeping up on warm days. I called Expert from family recommendation. The technician who came out was friendly and professional in manner. He claimed my unit was just dirty and clogged with debris, hosed it off, said it checked out fine afterward and was operating fine, charged me over $100 for that.

As it warmed up again it was clear nothing was different; something in my system was clearly wrong. I gambled and called a different company and they immediately identified and fixed the issue – the refrigerant wasn’t charged properly to spec, missed in both installation (again, not Expert in this case) and Expert’s checkup that supposedly tested for that. I am finally enjoying proper AC, but not thanks to Expert.

Very professional service by Brent. Had an issue of them missing my furnace maintenance but they took care of it at no additional cost. Gave clear explanation on the condition of my HVAC system.
