I called Blakeslee & Son on Monday. A technician was scheduled to come out the next day. They could’ve done same day however my schedule didn’t allow for that. Kolt called prior to arrival and showed up on time. He looked over our water heater and determined it needed to be replaced. Was able to give me pricing and had it replaced in 2 hours. He was professional and courteous and we have a brand new water heater in just a few days of having noticed the leak!

I love this company. I recently moved to Rockford and needed a company to help me with my new home. I want to start by saying that they have an excellent program for air conditioning and furnace maintenance. It’s a really good deal as is but if you sign up it also gets you additional discounts for other services. The first time they came was for a smart thermostat installation. They did it quickly and professionally. Taught me how to use it and answered all my questions without rushing even though it was late in the day.

I brought a water softener from my previous house and wanted them to see if they could install it. Before we even set up an appointment for the installation they came and explained how the water softening process works and showed me the different components of my water softener (they again took their time to explain things to me even though they had not made any money on this yet). They said that they could tell my water softener was from a “big box store” and that they only sell professional water softeners. Despite this, they didn’t try a sales pitch to sell me their specific water softeners...they were honest and said that my machine would work just fine based on the water analysis they had previously done at my house (which was totally free by the way). Again, the installation was done expeditiously and afterward they explained how to bypass the water softener in case something went wrong with the unit. My dad is a plumber who lives out of state and I showed him a video of the work. He said it was of excellent quality.

I could go on and on. They are professional and know what they are doing. They communicate well via email and phone. They are always on time. They always wear a mask and shoe coverings. They have done a number of additional things at my house including installing a whole house HEPA filtration system and created a new connection for my water hose spigot. They are excellent at both HVAC and plumbing. I highly recommend them!!

Prompt courteous service during a terrible snow storm. Also offered good advice to get a quote now in my old furnace so I’m not sticker shocked in the future.

We had Blakeslee complete a minor plumbing replacement. They were able to schedule service quickly, and both the scheduler and plumber were very courteous and focused on my needs. I also signed up for their HVAC and plumbing maintenance program. I would definitely use them again!

Called 3 other places before Blakeslee, they were so much more friendly on the phone! That’s a big deal for us, you want customers to trust you in their homes, you better have excellent customer service on the phone first!

Honest, prompt and very thorough. Furnace went out, they fit me in understanding it could be after hours visit. As soon as they could the called and fit me in so there would not be extra charges. The technician was very experienced and methodical in diagnosing and correcting any issues. Great tune up and all needed care, and I feel confident for the upcoming winter and beyond. Blakeslee & Son installed a new water heater, new water softner and filter, replaced the well pressure tank, and fixed several plumbing pipes due to aging. I never thought I'd say that going through all that would be enjoyable, but it was! After watching home shows like 'Holmes on Homes' for years, and with this being our first home, we were a bit nervous about contractors and wanted to make sure that we were 'informed homeowners' so we asked lots of questions. Throughout the process, Blakeslee & Son, and especially Andrew, were wonderful. Every question was completely answered professionally with obvious knowledge,experience, and honesty. (If they didn't know, they would find out and get back to us. If a price seemed high, they explained why it was that way.) During the visit for the estimate, Andrew fully explained our options, what his recommendations would be and why. During installation he again explained what was being done, showed us how the systems worked and should be maintained, labeled everything, and answered every nit-picky question I could think of. The work was done in a completely professional manner, and Andrew followed up a week later to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. Andrew seems to be one of those rare people who is both very proficient in his trade and can communicate well with homeowners so it became both a well-done upgrade and a learning process for us. We will not hesitate to contact Blakeslee & Son for any future work we might need done.

First time calling them as were new to the area. They were here for a routine check as we have an older heating system- Darrin the tech was very thorough in checking it out. Great service, thorough and good rates. They will be our “go to” company!
