Had a plumbing emergency. Scott was here on time, finished the job promptly, as they usually do. We have used Dan Wood Plumbing for a long time & have always had good results with our plumbing issues.

had Dan Wood out to locate a leak. they said I needed a new pipe job in the whole house and charged me $200 for a service call. I knew I had a leak and another plumber found it without difficulty right where I told him it would be. I had to pay for two service calls but at least I know never to call Dan Wood again. these guys are bad news. When I called to complain, all i heard were excuses.

I would caution anyone who contacts this company for any services. Let me share our experience. My friend had a recent service call for a rental house that she owns and she had a technician by the name of Ryan Sherrod come out to assess the problems in order to get them fixed. The "Plumbing and Drain Technician" (as stated on his company business card) quoted her nearly $900 as a starting point and said that it would likely be more, but wouldn't be able to know until getting further into the repair. Thankfully she didn't fall for his price gauging tactics and told him to leave everything alone and not touch anything. She immediately knew he was over-quoting her for the bathtub spout replacement as I just fixed the same issue in her kids' bathroom in their home. I went over to the rental house today and fixed the issues for around $45 total. First, I replaced an 8 inch piece of kitchen drain pipe that was leaking only because it was in two pieces for some reason and installed a new sprayer handle that was causing some vibration when the water was running. That's it...problems solved immediately. This guy told her she needed a whole new sink! The issue in the bathroom was that the pull lever to switch the water from the spout up through the shower head was stuck and not moving. Rather than take it apart and soak it and clean it and put some plumber's grease on it, I went ahead and replaced it for $15. I literally twisted the old one off, added the included adapter with some thread tape, and twisted the new one on. I checked for any leaks in the access panel in the adjacent closet and it looked as though there were some water marks on the back of the shower wall which may or may not be recent. I decided to replace the seals since it's an older house and they might be worn out. He told her he would need to do "surgery" and replace it all to fix it. No way man. I took the handles apart and pulled the stems and replaced the rubber washers and packing around the stems. Sure it took a little while, but I spent $11 on new washers and new packing. Look, I'm all for hiring someone with the knowledge and expertise if you aren't familiar with how to do it, but don't let that be justification for someone taking advantage of you. This company tried to overcharge her for simple repairs and I would bet that's nothing new. They should be ashamed of themselves for doing business like this and I'm absolutely appalled at the thought of them taking advantage of anyone else, especially if it was someone on a fixed income like a retired senior or single parent. I strongly suggest that you call another company first and even then you should always get more than one quote.

I've used other contractors in the past with mediocre results. The others didn't show up on time and tried to up sell me and change pricing. But not so with Dan Wood they were not only on time, but they gave me a lower price than 2 other bids for the same work. I will absolutely use them again. Thanks Dan Wood.

Had Dan Wood plumbing relocate my tub drain and water lines (few feet from original). Onsite plumber (John B) was very professional and on time. Thanks for the great service Mike and John!

My elderly parents had a few faucets replaced and they overcharged them a phenomenal amount. The receipt given had no break down in prices. Called to get a breakdown and a lady called back and left it on the voicemail. her message ended with her saying she knows it's pricey but things are expensive in this area. Very unprofessional and shame on them for taking advantage of people this way. these are not people you should trust. They will overcharge you.

Unreliable. You better have your phone on you if you expect them to show up. Appointment time 1:30 to 3:30pm. Called at 3:08 and turned their tech around at 3:20pm 12 minutes later. Apparently it's policy to confirm the appointment via phone for them to show up. Was home all afternoon working on the house with 80+ deg weather in the forecast. Was on hold two different times as they check with their scheduling coordinator. Terrible customer service. If you're going to confirm appointment, I understand, but should give more notice. Maybe it should policy to call in the morning of the appointment and give people a reasonable time to respond. Hi-Tec out of Highland was contacted afterward this disappointing experience at 4:00pm. They showed up the next morning at 8:45am and had my AC running by 9:15am. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Ridiculous. Will never use this company/location again.

The service was amazing! From the time of our phone call to having our plumbing issue fixed it was only two hours. Fast and efficient, Sean was very professional and friendly. Great job to the entire staff!
