    If I could give zero I would. The owner came over to give an estimate on a new water heater he spent all of 5 mins at our home and said he would have some one email us tomorrow...so a couple hours later he sends an email and says he can't do the work. We asked for an explanation as to why....he said he had more important jobs...what a waste of our time he was rude and unprofessional

    Excellent information, selling style, product and installation.

    We bought a house two years ago whose previous owners had just installed a new Bryant furnace from Kidder. When we called them to look at our 22 year old AC unit, they said it was still operational but probably not for long and used the old style refrigerant on the last legs of its phase-out.

    Phil visited us to explain options for AC and patiently answered our many questions, including my geeky ones (I've had some engineering classes and know a bit about heat transfer and dewpoint, but no HVAC training). By buying from Kidder they would “own” the whole system’s maintenance and there would be no issue of having multiple vendors blame the other for any problems.

    We decided to buy and install a new AC unit now, in October, rather than waiting for spring. That’s because even though we’d get “more” warranty that way (not going to need AC here in MI for the rest of this year), the reliability is really tied to the cooling season so it makes no difference on the effective time period. We also wanted to add a humidifier at the same time for the upcoming heating season and get the whole heating/cooling/moisture management thing tied together. The 2-stage AC unit is very quiet (has only operated in test mode so far) with a low fan speed and is claimed to deliver very efficient energy consumption.

    Phil called a few days after the install was scheduled to say that they just received a new Wifi-capable thermostat unit, would I like to upgrade the unit for free? I think they decided we would be a good first install since we have iPhones and like tech stuff in general. The weeks-away install was also moved up after their schedule became free the next day.

    Three guys showed up on time as promised and did the install in a most professional manner. Phil came by to check on that and help us install the app to control the Wifi. It all went amazingly smoothly, especially considering the thermostat was new to Kidder (and Bryant, apparently). Having done software development professionally, I was (and am) impressed. The software seems very robust and easy to use, and I’m confident in the security against hacking and in their availability to help if we have problems.

    We still haven’t used the system much as it’s only been a week and the weather has not demanded either heating or cooling yet, but we’re looking forward to saving energy and being more comfortable.

    They have gone above and beyond to figure out a weird part issue - and are very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable in maintenance for both our furnace and air conditioner. Appreciated the tech showing up with a mask on today!

    I have worked with Kidder Heating in the past and they were great people to work with. In my dealings with Bryan and his staff they were always professional and showed a lot of integrity, I decided to leave this review because I thought it unfair that a former employee with an obvious axe to grind made comments that did not reflect any of my experience in dealing with this company.

    I called early in the morning before they opened and was put on the list. After they opened that morning and net receiving a call, I called to see when I could get service. I was told that they would let me know. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. I ended up calling Eric Dale Heating & Cooling in Marshall and was able to get help that afternoon. Kidder has still never called me. Huge breakdown in there system.

    What a rip off, these people charge us a mark up on a part from $65 to over $600 & called it overhead.
    They used an after market part when our furnace CLEARLY states use original parts that ARE available. Before buying a circuit board do some research. Even the original part was less than $100.
    Plus they charged a $200 service charge, the bill was over $800 for a cheap part & 10 minute job.
    We are considering calling fox 17 to have them investigated.
