They had a good estimate and seemed very professional when they came to my house on the first visit. After they that, they were nothing but a head ache. Had to have them come out 3 times to try to get them to finish the install. The work they estimated is STILL not complete, and they have taken me to small clams court to get the final $300 from me. I would strongly suggest going with anyone else if you are looking to have work done.

He is friendly, knowledgeable, patient and you just know that you can trust him. He check out heating, cooling and the outside components as well. Very thorough and personable. He sets a high bar for service. He represents Kidder Heating and A/C in a most professional way.
Our furnace quit during the middle of the night. I was able to contact someone in Customer Service right away and a technician contacted me within a half hour. He showed up around 20 minutes later (it was 4:00 in the morning at this point) and had our furnace repaired by 5:00. Awesome response time and technician was knowledgeable and professional. Thanks so much!
They were very helpful. Called first thing in the morning and they gave me a window of 3-5 pm that day. They were here promptly at 3. Fixed it and gave me great tips to help maintain my air conditioner. Will definitely use them again!
Evan was prompt at arrival, very courteous and attentive to cleanliness. He was very helpful answering questions and based on what I told him was going on with the furnace pin pointed the problem right away and fixed things. More than happy to inform and explain things as he was working and giving tips for future issues. He is good PR for Kidder. Very respectful and friendly.

On January 13th I was faced with a furnace that did not produce ANY heat,but poured out cold air into my home. I called a heating company that offered a discount to senior citizens. They said they'd call the next day to set up an appointment to evaluate the system. A friend suggested I call Kidder (It was after 8:00 P.M. but I was told a service man would come to check things out). Christopher B came and told me that it was only a switch on the furnace that was not working...I was so happy that I would not have to replace the furnace! I was told the part would have to be ordered due to the age of the furnace, but was willing to get by with space heaters on a temporary basis. I was called early this morning telling me that the part was available and the repair would be made this morning! I had a beautifully running furnace and heat in my home before noon today! No, I didn't get the senior discount the other company promised, but I got great service and am 100% satisfied! THAT IS WORTH MORE THAN A DISCOUNT TO ME!
I have used Kidder Heating since I became a homeowner on my own and have always been happy with their service. I had them install a new furnace system in my mobile home while I owned that and was happy with the results. Now I am living in a home that my parents had had for many years and am still using their services. I appreciate that they have extended hours so I don't have to take time off from work if I need to have them come and look at my furnace. It is not always easy to know who you can trust when you become the homeowner and have to make all the decisions yourself. I feel I can trust Kidder Heating
Kidder gets two stars (instead of one) because their technician, Chris, is a good fellow who gives excellent service. He is, as other reviewers noted, punctual, professional and quite helpful in explaining what he is doing.
Kidder, however, gets only two stars at they grossly overcharge for parts installed. $364 installation for an air conditioner capacitor that retails for somewhere between $20 and $40. I fully expected a significant mark up on the part, given that it was brought to my house and installed, but $364 for the part and a ten minute installation seems a bit on the ridiculous side. Shame on me for trusting them to not exploit my ignorance of the part's cost. It won't happen again.
