After going away for the Memorial Day weekend, we came home to a hot house and our A/C not wanting to kick on. After messing with it for a bit it came on and cooled the house down for the night but today our furnace decided it didn't want to blow air again. Quick Google search to find someone to diagnose the issue and we gave Bill a call. He was at our house in less than 45 minutes, took him all of 10 minutes to determine the issue and set us up with a fix that has our a/c cooling our house as I type. He advised us on what we need to fully correct it should we choose to and explained everything clearly. He was very informative, friendly and more than fair in terms of pricing for what he did today and gave us a great price should we choose to replace the furnace board in the future. Bill will be our go-to for all future HVAC needs. Do not hesitate to inquire with him if you have an issue!!

Bill came out within 15 minutes of my call on Christmas Eve. Diagnosed, ordered the parts and went and got new ones and had it up and running in a couple of hours! I will use him again. Very knowledgeable. And reasonable Thanks again for all your help

Bill has done furnace inspections and repairs at my dozen properties for nearly 20 years. He is extremely competent and efficient, and also kind and generous with his knowledge. He may be gruff when a customer argues or doesn't listen to his advice, but he is an experienced expert in HVAC. Remember, he is there to diagnose and solve YOUR problem and should be treated respectfully. He is my first call for any HVAC issues. Highly recommended!

There must be TWO BILL's in the HVAC business in the Lansing area.
I used this guy over ten years ago on my furnace.
He fixed my furnace at that time and 'seemed' to be a decent guy.
A little cranky but not enough to bother me then.
Now today I called him about the same furnace.
It was turning on and off and/or just blowing air with no heat.
Last evening when I called him he barked at me but I simply figured he was tired since it was about 8pm. No biggie.
He said last night that I 'Shot myself in the foot' because I turned the furnace off then back on to try to reset it.
He went on about that. Stating that he cannot read the code now.
Then he said that the newer Hypoallergenic filters cause problems by over heating the furnace.
That made sense but I use the cheapie filters anyways. Not the expensive ones.
What am I suppose to use? Paper Towels?
OK. However, I knew it would probably resume its problems even though I turned the furnace off then on.
Of course it did. This morning it was doing exactly what it did the night before.
So I called BILL this morning. He said he could leave and come over right then.
He showed up very disheveled and look like he had a rough night.
He was cranky and rude.
I did what he asked by turning up the thermostat so he could see the problem.
Then he looked at my filter then took it out and threw it at me.
He said it was filthy. It was not that bad. It was only in a couple of months. I have taken out much worse in the decades we owned this furnace.
He gets up and walks out of my house then gets in his truck then leaves.
No good bye. No advice. No fixing my problem.
So I turned down my furnace to a lower setting and it was repeating the problem again.
So I called him to ask him why he just abruptly left.
He said "I did not want to hear what he had to say". Which was not true.
He then said I need a new fan switch. Ok then I asked him why is that a problem that he was not willing to fix.
He then said to call up Bard (Furnace manufacture) and have them fix it.
Then he said I need a new furnace. Seriously?
Just snarky and rude. Then he hung up.
I was stunned. I was not rude to this man. I did not expect this kind of unprofessional attitude.
It just boiled down that he did not want to fix the problem.
SO BEWARE. This guy has issues. It seemed he is bi-polar or maybe has some form of dementia.
So I have DOTY scheduled to come out next week.
We will SEE if I need a new furnace which I doubt.

Bill is awesome. My furnace went out and he was at my house less than an hour after I called him, he diagnosed the problem within 10 seconds of opening the panel and had it repaired with 10 minutes. He taught me a few things about furnace maintenance which I thought was cool and he even gave me a new filter for free. I would highly recommend him

I would definitely recommend Bill! He was here within an hour of my call and had the problem diagnosed in less than two minutes. He replaced the part and had the furnace up and running in about fifteen minutes. He was upfront and honest and his prices were very fair!

I've been using Bill for over a decade. He knows his stuff. Has always been able to get my issues resolved quickly and for a great price. Called him at 7 this morning and he had my heat running again by 8.

Bill has serviced our furnace a few years ago, and he was very nice, professional, and his service fee was very resonable. We just had another furnace issue, and he came and worked some magic, getting our blower motor to work properly before changing it out. He refused to take any payment since he claimed "He didn't do anything other than turn it over." VERY honest, and Bill will have our business as long as we live in town.
