Rob at A1 Mechanical did a great job installing our new whole Carrier house humidifier. He is very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Rob as your HVAC Service Technician. 100% satisfied with install, pricing $775 for furnace mounted humidifier which included parts, electrical, and plumbing.

Had A1 out because the exhaust fan in my furnace went out. It’s a simple fix but unless you are pro you can’t get one from the local supply houses. Part online for my exhaust fan was about $100 but since I had no heat I couldn’t wait. A1 charged a flat rate of $895 to change the motor. This is literally a 10 minute job. On top of the $895 they also add on the $89 service call.

I’d have no issues paying double the parts cost for their service and the service fee but to be charged just under $1,000 for a $100 part and ten minutes labor is robbery. I reached out to give them an opportunity to make it right but heard nothing. There are plenty of other good companies out there that will charge a honest rate. I’ll never call these guys again!

Update: A1 reached out and did adjust the price for their services. I appreciate them trying to make things right.

We’ve used them for years. They installed both our furnace and AC. We also have an ongoing service contract. A great value! They keep everything running smoothly. Always polite, professional and friendly. Arrive on time, respectful of our property and time. Highly recommend!

I gave them a star because they wore a mask. Everything else was terrible. I called them at first on September 23rd. The guy came out on time and seemed helpful enough. He told me I needed a new valve and would research it that night and call me the next day. After he left there was a new humming in the gas line. I waited a week with no call and finally called them and they told me the valve was in and scheduled a time to install it. I took the next available appointment that was roughly a week later. A different guy showed up with the valve and tore apart the gas line to the furnace. When I told him about the humming in the gas line he told me there was nothing he could do. Then he went to his truck for about 30 min and told me I needed a new low pressure switch and would bring it the next day, leaving the gas line disassembled. Again I didn’t hear anything so about a week later I called and they told me the part was on order. I gave them another week and still heard nothing. Finally I called Sharon’s heating and air conditioning and had my heat up and running in about two weeks. My experience with A1 was terrible. I called on September 23 rd and still would not have heat today (November 13th) had I stuck with them. I get that things are in short supply right now, but they could at least keep you updated.

Highly recommend this group. Our 27 year old furnace was overdue for replacement. Don came in and gave a very honest opinion and estimate. Jeff did a fantastic job on the installation and even came back to install the replacement thermostat after the existing one (google nest) did not work. Professional from start to end...and GREAT communication. Thank you A-1!!!

Don from A-1 Hearing and Cooling came to do an estimate on a gas furnace replacement at the appointed time. He explained the work involved in the new furnace retrofit and agreed with my choice of model. He was able to give me the full installed price on the spot and informed me of the rebates that were available. He answered questions I had as well. My only problem was the work would not begin for four days because of a busy crew and the old furnace was shot. I still thank him for his time and effort and hope it warms up sometime soon.

A1 went above and beyond for my family!! Our A/C went out the day before my husband had to go in for a surgery. I called them and they didn’t hesitate to send someone right away. Jason B put in extra hours for us on an extremely hot day, 90+ outside, to diagnose and order the part we needed. He got the part and had it installed the next morning. It was a total life saver!! He was very professional and polite and I highly recommend his work. I cannot thank A1 Mechanical enough!!

A1 is always great. Our heat went out and the simple tricks didn't bring it back on. Shane came out and let us know what was going on and talked us through our options to repair or replace. We then got a very competitive quote for a new furnace from Bob. Bob walked us through our options for a replacement, factored in our preferences and needs, and gave us a competitive quote in a few minutes. Andy installed our new system in a single day, did a great job, and upgraded from a 1965 furnace. We appreciate your work, and will continue to use A1 for our heating and cooling needs.
