He drove over right away and met me at my house, assessed the right furnace for my home, gave me a price that was unbeatable, installed the new furnace and explained all I needed to know about it. My spouse and I bought our house two years ago, knowing that the furnace and AC were getting up there (18 years). We were really hoping that it would be one of those dinosaur units that just kept on going, because we already expected to put around $20k into the house in upgrades. On October 10th, I had called Vredevoogd to come out and do a pre-Winter checkup on the furnace because their sticker had been on the furnace from the previous owners. They came out and broke the bad news... the heat exchanger was a goner and the igniter was about to go next. They literally red-tagged the furnace, turned the furnace off, and made us sign a legal agreement saying that we understood that turning it back on could cause carbon monoxide poisoning (which I totally understand, they wouldn't want to be held liable). We had their sales person come out to the house, and our jaws dropped at the price he gave us for a bottom-tier unit. $9k?! Don't get me wrong-- we knew it was going to be expensive... but we have a smaller house (990 sq foot upstairs, and a partially finished basement). My spouse and I decided to shop at that point. We called around, had several companies come out to give us quotes-- including Chris. Chris beat them by a landslide every time AND he was offering us a better efficiency model than they were. Needless to say, Chris installed a new furnace and AC for us within two days of us signing the quote and we are SO HAPPY. He's honestly the guy-next-door kind of person... very down to Earth, and just genuinely cares about his customers. He's obviously not out there to prey off of hardworking people and gouge prices. My spouse and I will be calling Chris for any of our furnace/AC needs from here on out, though I'm sure it'll just be for tune-ups. :) Thanks Chris! Glad we found you!

Had our AC go out on Fathers Day, called 4 of the "Big" HVAC firms in GR, funning thing, they all say 24 hour service, but they all use the same answering service and if you don't have "new equipment" then they don't have a tech until after the weekend. Chris answered his own phone and was at my house in an hour, had to go get a part, but had it fixed in an hour. Great experience and he will be my first call anytime I have an issue.

Chris responded to our furnace not working within an hour, made several trips to ensure we had the correct, working part we needed, and also made us aware about a problem which, although not requiring immediate attention, would cause us more trouble down the road. Professional, prompt, and competitive pricing - we will be going back to him for any future work we may need done!

Should've been the first call I made. AC stopped working and Chris had it up and running in no time. Prices are below average, communication above average, and workmanship second to none. Won't be calling anyone else ever again.
