    There are only a few things that cause great angst when it comes to home maintenance and one of those items is when the need arises to replace your entire HVAC system. We were faced with that very issue in the past several months. Our system was over 20 years old, and the repair costs no longer warranted further maintenance and a full replacement was the best long-term solution. We live on Coldwater Lake and there are only a few company options out there. We have done a ton of research to what brand of HVAC system to go with and landed on Carrier. Based on all my experiences and reviews, Carrier is truly the best option that provides quality, service, and a reputable warranty. This is where our trek started as there is not a Carrier dealer in the Coldwater area. I reached out to every dealer within 50 miles, and most would not service Coldwater or were to busy and so on. This true for most except Mechanical Extremes Heating & Cooling, LLC. Don’t get me wrong, they were busy too however they truly value every customer and see the long-term value that each brings to their business.

    The experience was first class from day one. The staff answered the calls quickly and professionally. Answered all my questions and yes, I asked a ton of questions. The owner Harold Wilkes is the best in the business. He showed up on time for the site visit, spent more then ample time reviewing the existing system, answering all my questions and did it as if I were the only customer he had. During the inspection, he also found huge errors in the prior installation that three other companies did not. He explained everything in terms I would understand and the best thing of all, he never did the hard sell into something I did not need. I learned later from other customers and his staff that this is just not his style. He wants every customer to be happy with everything about his company and their experience and he will not sell you more than you want or need. That in itself is priceless.

    The next great news is that he had almost all the equipment in stock. We scheduled the install one week later (he offered earlier but I was out of town) and the crews were there on time. This is where things even get better. Dustin, Josh James and Walter were the crew that showed up to the house. I have worked with many crews for equally many projects and nothing even comes close to this team. They worked tirelessly, professionally and with all the care possible. They treated the house as if it were their own personal residents and that again is priceless. After day one, I expected to find the workspace a mess from the demolition and then reconstruction, I was simply shocked, I found it cleaner than when they start the work. Other companies would have just left the mess. Again – priceless.

    Day two of the install was for the AC unit and all my experiences were just the same. I could speak endlessly on the excellent workmanship and service provided by Dustin and Josh and Harold’s company as a whole. They are 100% in my books, and I was most impressed how well they pulled through the company culture of excellence. On numerous occasions I heard Dustin and Josh both speak to Harold’s leadership and how he sets a clear example to the quality expectations for his company.

    There are so many examples I could share however most important is that the staff truly enjoy working for the company and for Harold and that carries out in the work they provide. This is truly the measuring stick for any company and is the end game to retaining great people and growing a top-notch company.

    You won’t go wrong selecting Mechanical Extremes for all your heating and air-conditioning needs.

    We run a summer cottage rental and on a Sunday evening got a call from our renters that the AC wasn't blowing cold air. It is a difficult situation because finding someone to come out quickly and on a Sunday is near impossible. We thought for sure there was nothing we could do until I decided to call Mechanical Extremes.

    Mechanical Extremes recently repaired our home AC and the experience was very professional, I noticed on the refrigerator magnet they left that 24 hour emergency service was available. I called and almost couldn't believe it when I was told that not only was a service technician available but that he would be there in 30 minutes. I was immediately put in direct contact with Aaron B. who was the same technician that helped us out before. Aaron arrived exactly on time and was able to quickly diagnose the issue as a bad capacitor and had a replacement installed in what felt like minutes. He even helped us switch out our furnace filter.

    Overall, the time from our renters calling to notify us of the issue to Mechanical Extremes arriving and repairing the unit was under 2 hours. I didn't think such awesome service was possible!

    We are so grateful for Aaron and Mechanical Extremes saving us twice now. Our renters couldn't believe how quickly the repair of a major home appliance was carried out and thankfully didn't have to spend a single night without AC.

    It was a cold winter night when our home boiler stopped working. Called Mechanical Extremes first thing the next morning. They had Aaron out to my house by 10:am and he had the boiler up and running by noon. Absolutely great service!

    Everyone involved from the owner coming out to do the initial estimate, bringing his install supervisor to go over every detail discussed, the 2 installation guys everyone was very professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and did a very good job throughout the whole process. Very happy and pleased with the new furnace, air conditioning unit, and tank less water heater.

    We had them install a new furnace & AC, 5 days after the warranty had expired we had a part go bad. The AC warranty covered the part but the labor was not covered. They would not give us a break either, I mean really 5 days after the warranty expired. If this is the kind of customer service you get for buying local I’ll go elsewhere. If we were the owners we would have worked with the customer. I have been in customer service most of my life & you just don’t getter service you use to. We won’t be back.

We particularly appreciate the good communication and friendly service. Our technicians, Aaron and Gabriel, answered all of our questions, did a great job installing our new water heater and left the work space very clean. Highly recommend using this business!
