A call to Michigan Building & Mechanical and watch the magic happen. All efforts were made to service AC in moms condo. As it turned out, unit was old & needed to be replaced. Within 24 hours, Rodney & Hank had diagnosis, old unit out - new unit in.

I've been using Michigan Building & Mechanical for 17 years. I have a maintenance contract for both heating and cooling, so both systems are covered. I have the same technician, so Rodney knows the systems and how I like my home environment. He does a great job, but more than that, he's a good listener, he explains to me what is going on and what he's doing, and he has great interpersonal skills. I've had to use their emergency service a couple of times and got the same great service...in the middle of the night! I recently moved and took my maintenance contract, Rodney and their great service with me. Thanks to Rodney and the rest of the crew for their excellent service!

MBM has always been quick to respond to our needs and has been extremely fair on prices. If something needs to be tweaked after a service call they are great about coming back to attend to it. (Actually this has only had to happen once.) We find them to be polite, competent workers, no matter who does the service. We use them routinely for furnace and a/c maintenance and repairs and have for many years. Can't say enough good about them!

We were having password trouble with our Carrier Cor app. Service tech Jamie was very efficient and helpful with getting us back online. Thanks again Jamie!

All of my experiences were great, but one. After an a/c tune up, the tech left with the unit not operating properly. The unit died before he was even 5 minutes away.
I complained and they made it right on the purchase of a new unit. I have found them to be reliable and fair in the 8 years we have been doing business.

BLOWER NOT RUNNING They came out on a Sunday $189 misdiagnosed a bad Diode in the motor Module. Its freezing and snowing out. They Called me on Monday morning told me I needed a $900 control board and made a point to tell me it was the only one in town. I purchased a used one the same day for $200. The tech that was here turned the gas valve from ON to OFF and asked me if I had a flame earlier in the day. yes, I did!! He also connected a vacuum line to the wrong port on the regulator for the inducer motor causing the inducer motor to race and a fault on the control board. I personally installed The replacement control board it had the same exact symptoms as the original. Then I found the error with the vacuum line. The fault went away and the ignitor came on. I still had no flame or blower. Its now Tuesday I did some research and found two blower motor modules locally, but cannot purchase one because I do not have a license. So I call MBM back thinking they could still help me, I had not made any comments about their tech. They tell me it takes 3 days to get this part, I tell them where they can get it today. Then the decide they don't want to help me and accuse me of hooking things up wrong and causing all kinds of damage and refuse to help me. I had to call another contractor. They came out Tuesday noon got a module got it programed TURNED THE GAS BACK ON and started the furnace with the original control board. MBM is not worth the money they charge. My advise is to call anyone else.
